I was thinking of you this morning and then saw your post. Do you think it's the new shakes? I've heard some people get bowel issues while on the shakes. This is probably worse when combined with your IBS. How's the weightloss? Hope you get to feeling better soon! -

Did you get powdered or pre-made shakes? Someone posted on another board to put orange Crush (like Crusral Light) drops in the vanilla and it taste like a creamcicle. If you get tired of the vanilla add some sugar free flavorings. I can't believe you are in the single digits for surgery (9 days, right?). It nice to see your shake suffering pay off with the eight pound weightloss. You got this Molly hang in there! -

I have.the chocolate and vanilla premiere. I don't care for the strawberry. I have also ordered Inspire shakes through bariatriceating.com, which I like better than Premiere. My favorite flavor is peanut butter cup. Are we able to have the UC cream of chicken soup during pre-op? -

Nooooo, sorry to hear this Molly. I'm sure the pretzels aren't going to hurt the process. What shakes are you drinking? I have some chicken protein broth which I hope is more filling than regular plain chicken broth. Hope your sinus infection passes. One of my fears is being sick and having to postpone surgery. Dumb I know but after 8 months of this I'm so ready. -

How's it going Molly? I work Sundays too 7a-7p. I think I might do better at work because I can busy myself with stuff and there's really no food around unless I go to the cafeterria. At home, well I have two kids 5 & 7 who's snacks don't normally bother me, but if I'm starving and desperate I could finish a box of fruit snacks..lol -

I'm in Florence, KY so it takes me 45 minutes as well and that's if traffic is moving. I started at 225.8 and my last weigh in I was 225.8. I'm up to 229 now probably due to the weather and just wanting to hibernate and of course eating too much...lol what are you having for dinner tonight? Enjoy your drinks! -

Did they weigh you on all your nutrition and pre-op appointments (the last 2 and your anesthesia appt.) I was obsessed the first two months and then was in the mindset of just chill or you'll make yourself go crazy. Still in chill mode but my last appointment is in 2 weeks so I'm sure the obsession will return. I have UC insurance so I'm hoping this somehow expedites the pre-cert because I'm sure I'll lose sleep until the approval...lol -
this is probably a dumb question

I've mostly seen a PA similar to a NP, have one appointment left and this is how this medical group does it. I'm sure you're fine. -

What day do you start your per-op diet? I can't believe you're almost there! I'm so excited for you that I can't imagine how excited and nervous I'll be. Questions: Do you have anymore blood work? Did you have any weight loss between your start date and now? I weighed exactly the same as my starting weight at my last appointment. Ivan says I'm doing great so I'm not concerned I don't have a loss to show for the past 5 months. Were your appointments with a group? -

Yeah Molly I'm so excited for you! It sounds like I'll be about 1-2 months behind you.. Maybe after we've both healed and it warms up we could meet up for a cup of broth...lol Keep me posted on how long insurance takes. I saw Dr. Thompson is running a self-pay rate of $11999 if all else fails. -

Happy New Year sleeve sisters! I am declaring 2016 as the year of the sleeve for me. Working on purging the kitchen and getting prepared to start 2016 off right. I have two appointments left 1/13 & 2/17 and then it's insurance precert and whatever nutrition and surgeon appt before surgery. I told my husband I was going to take the first available surgery date regardless of anyone else's (mainly work and family) schedule because I am going to put me first for once and he was totally supportive. I have a trip to Florida scheduled for 3/13 but will cancel if necessary. I'm ready to do this! Those that have already had surgery please update with your thoughts and progress. Molly and tsiemer we are almost there! -

Still hanging in there. Trying to get through the holidays without gaining. I was up 2 pounds after Thanksgiving and would like to lose that plus some before my next appointment on the 13th. Ivan gave me a list of foods for phase 3 & 4 and said I should be eating 4 oz every 3 hours. I have been doing 8 oz (which still isn't much) and was doing well until cookie baking with the kids. I managed to give away most of the cookies and what's aren't my favorite. Still curious about the time frame of surgery. Trying to plan a trip to FL in Feb/Mar, but since I don't know when surgery is I'm hesitant to commit to going. I'm taking the first available surgery date offered. I am so ready! -

I have appointmen 4/6 next week. Things are going good. I'm getting less obsessed about surgery so time seems to be moving a little faster. Thanksgiving was good. When is your next appointment? -

How's everyone doing? Saw your update chicken, congrats on 9 lbs. perk how are you doing? Tssiemer & Molly? Updates? I'm fighting off a sinus infection that everyone in the house has. Hoping that I get over this and have a heathy few months so as not to interfere with surgery. Joined a 6 week holiday boot camp that starts tomorrow. Dreading class but I know I'll be glad I went when it's over. Hope your all doing well. -

@@MollyF22 glad your appt went well. I have 3 visits left. My coworker informed me she purchased tickets to FL mid-March and that's when I should be having surgery. I'm going to schedule the first appt they give me regardless of when the date falls. I'll do a medical leave if I have to. @Tssiemer1f Any news on your sleep study? Are you felling any better? Any update from the sleeved? chicken? -

I had visit 3/6 yesterday with Ivan. My weight is back down. Initially I was 225.8 and yesterday I was 226.2 so not a big deal. Ivan said I was doing great and he was proud of me....ummm not really sure what he means, but apparently I just need to maintain my weight and he's not expecting a loss prior to surgery. My last appointment is February 17 and I asked about scheduling appointments for pre/post-op diet information with the nutritionist and a meeting required with Ivan/surgeon prior to surgery and was told that once Diana submits for precert and approval received they will schedule the apointments. I told Ivan I didn't want this to stretch into late March/April because there wouldn't be any appoinments available and he assured me that things move quickly once insurance approval had been received. He halso said there isn't a wait to get into any of the classes and that they are group classes. So now to make it through the holidays with no weight gain. Perk & chicken how are you feeling? I did ask Ivan about the size of the pouch they do and he said a 30, do you guys know what size your pouch is? Tssiemer, how'd you do overnight? Molly do you have heart issues? Did they send you to a cardiologist? I didn't have any pulmonary or heart appointments and just curious why you had to do them? It seems like the request for each of us is so different even though we are going to the same doctor.
