Got home around 4 and feeling good. Getting fluids in and ate a Popsicle. Looking forward to cream soups and yogurt over the next week I only have one incision that hurts. I gained 6 pounds at the hospital. I know it just fluids ad will wait to weigh again Friday. -

Hey guys! Surgery went well but it was my first time with anesthesia and let's just say I'm a lightweight and apparently have sleep apnea.. I ended up having to go to the medical step down unit ( between icu and floor status ) because I needed On a non rebreather machine because I was having respiratory issues . I'm doing much better now but they had to keep yelling at me to wake up so I would breath. Morphine was too much for me too causing me to be too sedated. I've been feeling much better but may have to stay another night. -

I'm ready. Bag packed, kids at granny's and husband briefed on departure time in the morning. It will be weird to be the one in the hospital bed. I'm always the family member at bedside and I work in a hospital. I will touch base with you all tomorrow. Think happy thoughts for me! -

@@Tssiemer1 are you just going to strain off the veggies? I thought of doing this but not sure I could discard the veggies because they would smell so good. I've been looking up post op recipes today. Molly how long are we on clears after surgery? It looked like just while in the hospital, but I'm not sure. -

Just a few more days! Down to 221.8, feels like I hit a stall on pre-op...lol I have no interest in food at this time. Started using soap on my belly provided by MD in preparation for surgery on Friday. Feeling good! -
How about a maternity/pregnancy band like women wear when they outgrow their pants. Gives a layered look if seen under your shirt and comes in different colors. It looks like a tube top for your waist/belly area.

Sorry to hear this. Obviously I haven't had surgery but don't get behind on your fluids because you won't be able to catch up. Change the temperature to the opposite of what you're drinking now. Eat more popsicles, anything to get the liquid down. -

@@tssiemer I used Campbell's Keurig pods and it tastes pretty good. They have a couple different flavor so like southwest and home style. Still hungry, isn't the hunger supposed to pass? Still doing good though and was down to 222.2 this morning. I would like to be below 220 for surgery. I work Sunday and then Tuesday, and the off work until 5-15. My plan is to get my house clean and laundry done so I can relax a few days. I also want to meal plan/prep for the family for the first week. I'll have help if needed but I'm a planner by nature. -
Did you eat on the 2week liquid diet?

On day 7 and I've been 90% good. 5 of the days I was perfect and the other two days I had a quest bar and today a bite of taco meat. Not terrible but I'm really trying to be 100%. Surgery is 4/29 and my plan is to be absolutely perfect three days leading up to surgery.. -

I did good yesterday was 223.8 today so up .2. I'm worried about not having a loss on my surgery day. Right now I'm down 6 pounds from my last weigh-in but only 2 pounds from my initial weigh-in in August 2015. I want to definitely be lower than my initial weigh-in. Ivan told a story about a person who hadn't lost any weight prior to surgery so they sent her home. I don't want to be THAT person. -

Back on track today. Days 1-4 no problem day 5 PROBLEM! I keep seeing how much easier it's supposed to be after the first couple of day, but it's all LIES.....lol. The STRUGGLE is real! -
Surgery 4/29 for me too! I am on day 5 of pre-op diet and unfortunately lost my awesome pre-op diet streak. After cooking for family every day I finally took bites of what they were eating for dinner. Up until that point I had been perfect. Going to bed and starting again in the morning. I'm sure I'll be fine but I'm disappointed I caved.

Ugh hunger got the best o me and I ate a quest bar and half a sweet italian sausage. The good news is I am still under my 800 calorie a day and carb limit. Back on track starts now! 10 days to go! -

@@MollyF22 - doing great! I weighed in this morning: SW 229.8 and CW 225.6 I have been doing well and not having any issues. I have a 6 & 7 year old so sometimes when making their food, the smell gets to me and this is food I wouldn't normally eat. I have plans this week to do some spring cleaning to stay occupied and out of the kitchen. I have meal planned the next two weeks for my family to help me stay in control. -

Day 1 is done. So I'm allowed 5 shakes or 3 shakes and two soups. I had 2 shakes and 1 soup. I drank lots of fluids/broth and feel pretty good. Wasn't really hungry throughout the day which was surprising. Hoping tomorrow goes as well. -

@@bcostasbiggs you are pretty far out. Well today is my last day before starting the 2 week pre-op. I had a Big Mac meal and large Diet Coke for lunch and I'm having a "Lastgiving" dinner with turkey, mashed potatos and gravy, as well as some corn and bread. I picked up GiGi's cupcakes for dessert. I will check in tomorrow with my starting weight and keep you posted.
