I had my one year follow-up appointment yesterday afternoon and could not be more pleased with the feedback I received and the results of my lab work! It's hard to believe it was slightly over a year ago that I embarked on the journey of WLS. I was and continue to be blessed by the support of my loving fiance who started his journey just 5 months earlier. Together we have lost over 250 lbs and have never felt better. I cannot wait for what the future has in store for us

I had my surgery 2 year ago in August. I was 320 lbs and couldn't run a half mile. I just competed in my first triathlon and have raced in 3 half marathons. I can't believe how far I have come.
I did this for my kids and now they want to compete in triathlons. I am a proud dad.

I posted this in the "sixties" forum but wanted to be wedged in between all these young beauties! Everyone looks amazing! I still have a long way to go, but I'm working this sleeve for all its worth. I started at 276 and was sleeved on May 20. Two and a half months later I'm at 225 so I'm 51 lbs down (after an infuriating 3 week stall). I'm 64 and now I don't feel a day over 61. ????

dpuppa98 got a reaction from teitei636 in 2 days post op and off pain meds
I'm currently ending my second day PO and have not needed pain meds all day. Meeting my fluid goals without issue. My new stomach is not afraid to let me know when I am being too aggressive. For those having trouble with their Protein Shakes try the nectar brand. I am taking 4 per day in FF milk as recommended by my NUT. Sipping 2 to 3 oz every 15 minutes till gone. Gatorade and SF Popsicles in between with the odd SF fudgesicle thrown in for good measure.
    Feeling good.

I think you are mistaken. I am 2 days post op and am on liquids. 3 to 4 Protein shakes(8oz each) plus an additional 16 oz of liquids. Soft food not recommended until week 2 or 3 depending on your MD.

dpuppa98 got a reaction from WorkinOnMe in Sleeve done today!
Had my sleeve this morning and am doing pretty well. Pain meds working well but get a little tough at the end of the dose schedule. Gas pain is the worst part but walking and the insentive spirometer (blue breathing exercise device ) really do help.
