yup, so normal! I am now almost 3 months out and usually can eat about 6 pretty normal sized bites per meal. Some days more but, usually 6 bites and I stop (or I should if i don't want to be uncomfortable but, i am still learning where that line is! )

I've found two negatives from major weight loss!

My butt isn't boney yet but- today my boobs fell right out the bottom of my bra! Looks like it's time to see what my new size is! -
sorry I'm late! 165.6

I fell a little guilty laughing at these tales of woe! Thank you GOD for putting my husband in my path 25 years ago! I was 19 when I met my One and Only so I have been extremely fortunate to have been able to avoid the horror stories y'all are sharing.

166.6 Goodbye boobs...hello collar bones!

I am 2.5 months post-op. I should have gotten my period right after surgery but it came about 5 days late, the next one was 11 days late. With all the changes your body is going through right now regular periods seem to be last on the priority list!

169.4 for me. Thanks!

I just came out of a 3 week stall. it started week 5. I was having about 800 calorie per day and exercising. A few people from this community suggested upping my calories. It was scary but, as soon as i increased calories, the stall ended. Coincidence?? Are you consuming enough?

Can you just get another test to refute the findings? -
Why don't I feel like I am going to be one
Bean80128 replied to cbruce125's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I once was told that when you are trying to adopt a new habit (or break an old one!) to be aware of the dreaded 3's. That is, you will have self doubt and discouragement at day 3, week 3, month 3, and then year 3. I have found that this is so true. Unfortunately for you, the DWTS (dreaded week three stall) exactly coincides with the Dreaded 3's-wait it out...week 4 is coming! -
Child's portion card?
Bean80128 replied to MrsKarenC2008's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I printed one and carried it around awhile but never did see a kid menu that had something tasty AND healthy. Like most here, I just order a side of something. I have gotten pretty adept at finding restaurants that have a happy hour menu and have gone for tapas a few times-they are the perfect size for us! -
I feel very guilty and upset
Bean80128 replied to Helen233's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Free pass! Of course you did something to show yourself some love-you just slipped and did it your old way. Maybe next time you need some self love get a facial. You obviously already committed to take care of yourself since you got the surgery-this ol' cancer is just a blip! Hugs to you... -
Giving up my daily habit (weighing myself)
Bean80128 replied to Beachsprite's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think I will join you in putting the scale away for awhile-I am in the midst of a 3 week stall (it started at week 5). I am getting about 800 calories per day, usually hit my protein and water goal and am working out (lightly)...Jeez body what more do you want! -
If I know weight loss is not covered at all
Bean80128 replied to 2016NewMe's topic in Insurance & Financing
Also, a lady I work with was told by her surgeon that even though it is specifically excluded from her policy, if it is "medically necessary" sometimes they will cover it. The surgeon likely would have to do some extra work to convince the insurance provider of the necessity. -
Hi Friends, I am confused and discouraged...I was sleeved 7/20 (seven weeks ago). Everything went great and I lost about 30 pounds in month 1. Since then (2.5 weeks now) I have lost nothing…that was OK I was just having a stall. We all do, no big deal, stick with the plan etc. But for the past two days I have found that I am GAINING. In the past two days my scale says I am up 3.5 pounds. This seems impossible to me as I have had less than 1600 combined calories for those two days and have been pretty active. My Water intake has remained consistent and I am not having premenstrual water retention. So how can it be that I am gaining more weight? I’m panicking that my sleeve is too big and that I am on my way to gaining it back just as quick as it dropped off.

Things we dont have to worry about anymore!
Bean80128 replied to krista132's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Having strangers judge what's in the cart at the grocery store! The feeling of a raised eyebrow directed at me at a potluck-heck eating almost nothing at said potluck then going home and putting the feedbag on just to avoid that eyebrow! Worn through seams on the inside thighs of my pants. -
Not loosing weight! Help!
Bean80128 replied to svasquez's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Babbs, THANK YOU! i have been getting frustrated that my 30# in month 1 seems to be all the weight i am going to lose (stalling for 3 weeks now). I have been really befuddled about why my 600 calorie per day diet isn't resulting in any loss. Now I know. Maybe now that it makes more sense I can quit freakin' out! -
OK SleeveNV-I'm trusting you!

I took a mini vacation exactly one month post-op. For me it was mostly OK. But, I did have to make time to nap one day when we did a lot of walking. Just 30 minutes but it was essential to me continuing the day normally. My advise would be to schedule a nap everyday. You'll need it and maybe if it's already an expected part of the day you won't feel like you're being a drag on your companions (like I did!).

can someone please explain the dreaded stall?
Bean80128 posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi All. I know that posts about stalls abound but, I have been unable to find an explanation about WHY they happen. I was sleeved 7/25 and lost 30# in the first 4 weeks. Now, for the past two weeks I have lost nothing. I know this is a stall and everyone has them but, I am eating <500 calories per day, working out, concentrating on Protein, etc. so what I don't understand is HOW is it happening? I am eating less than my basal rate so the weight should be falling off. One explanation is that my body is in starvation mode and "holding" on to everything it can but-I'm not giving it enough to "hold" to maintain weight...What is the science behind the stall? -
Isopure Liquid Favorite Flavor
Bean80128 replied to Lemon109's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I like the coconut-that being said all of the flavors are way too strong so i end up watering it down-I still get more Protein than with any other beverage but not as much as i could be if I could just drink the darn stuff straight! -
I have no words of wisdom-just sending you a hug....

I have a feeling this is going to be an unpopular thing to say but, it sounds like you have an extra 200 pounds of unwanted fathead to get rid of. Nobody needs that or deserves it and you are going to need a cheerleader in your life to help you with this!
