Old clothes? What did you do?
tish67 replied to AZBlackhawk's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Donate them to Goodwill stores or domestic violence center for the women, etc. I always donate my older size clothes to one of the charity organizations between every month to 3 months because I do really not stand to looking at my older size clothes. [emoji16][emoji1474] -

Are there other vegetarian/vegan sleevers?
tish67 replied to MicahD's topic in Vegetarian or Vegan Eating
Usually I become either a vegan or vegetarian since I'm no longer eating any red meats after my surgery last year. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
You can drink decaf coffee with either Stevia, Truvia, or any non-sweetened sugars but no regular coffee or regular sugar. I am told I can drink no more than 8oz coffee. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

One year after sleeve surgery can you eat a whole bagel with cream cheese?
tish67 replied to Gail Ann's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Best way to do is ask your dietician or NUT if you aren't sure about bagels or cream cheese since bagels are still labeling as bad carbs. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Excessive Saliva Post Sleeve
tish67 replied to BevBrown34's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think it does something do with the way you are either drinking or eating way too fast due to esophagus couldn't tolerate with excessive saliva that can irritate your throat when it backs up. So that means you needs to slow down and eat/chew pretty very slow then it will go away. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Don't get me wrong but I believe any energy drinks aren't safe to drink and can harm your sleeved stomach due to too much caffeine or acidic. Best way to do is drink Protein premier shake so that's what I always drink protein premier shake all the tim because my work schedule is always being hectic. Sounds to me you probably possibly can be dehydrated. Did you take enough protein/vitamins/food intakes that you are supposed to follow your instructions per Bariatric surgeon's orders? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
6 months post OP and I'm kinda stuck in the process
tish67 replied to volsfan82's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@ Dub, I'm telling you now I know you can do it as long as you can so please don't be discouraged yourself but it will give your body time to adjust before it gets used. I have had the exact same experience for few months. My WLS was on April 14, 2015, and my weight was 403 before my surgery. I was struggling to meet the requirements last few months then my weight was stalled temporarily when I was unable to lose weight because I thought about going back to old bad habit again. After that I'd been fighting with my demons for quite some time and I have been seeing my dietician when complaining about my struggles so she puts me on strict 600-800 calories diet. Finally I lose some unwanted weight and my weight is now 261, but I know it's not easy to follow the restrictions. But still you can do it. I'm highly recommended you talks to your Bariatric Doctor, NUT, or dietician about your struggles ASAP. Did you record any food intakes into your log book? How much grams of carbs/sugars they recommends you to eat? Did they tell you that you can drink decaf coffee instead of regular coffee so that your sleeved stomach can tolerate? Something like that you will be able to follow your restrictions if possible. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Crackers is OFF LIMITS!!!!! If you wanna your crackers with cheese for your Snacks, and the best way to do is talk to your NUT about it if it's either approved or not approved. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

tish67 replied to KristinJ78's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Everyone is different! Just follow your educational guidelines that your NUT supposed to give you when you were first in the class. Did you record what kind of foods/drink/how much grams of carbs/proteins into your log book? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

to snack, or not to snack?
tish67 replied to GSleeve822's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It depends, but I tent not to eat healthy Snacks between meals unless you are in hungry mode then you will be able to eat some healthy snacks like such as berries, hot oatmeal, cottage cheese with low fat shredded cheese, etc then you will be OK. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Leg compression cuffs at night
tish67 replied to kim36517's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Nope. Usually I wore the leg compression at the hospital before the surgeon discharged me from the hospital instead. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
It can lead you go back to your old bad habit, but the best way for you to do is stick to your strict diet or guidelines that your NUT provides you when you were in class or at the dr's office. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
