The painkillers, Tylenol #3, Tramadol, etc., are constipating. Dehydration will make you constipated, too. Milk of Magnesia and adding fiber helps. I have been using Fiber Smart, a clear fiber that is not wheat based, since I'm gluten intolerant. I also take probiotics and try to eat plain Chobani greek yogurt mixed with protein powder and add the fiber.
