    Surgery date 9/14 who else?

teesaa, amber, jusarte, princi, noforthefaint.........hope I am not forgetting someone. I am exactly one week out...........I have my surgical call today where they will tell me the time to checkin. I am so nervous today. Hard to concentrate. Noforthefaint, I know this site has a FB page. Did you tell us the FB you started? If you did I missed it, could you let us know again or send me a PM. Thanks everyone. Prayers and good thoughts are with our pals that are having surgery today. Keep smiling.
  3. I've heard of so many different variations. My pre-surgery diet (which has officially began) is: I can have three Protein shakes a day, less than 2g of sugar, 150 calories or less and at least 17g of protein. If I have three shakes then I can have a Lean Cusine meal not to exceed 380 calories. If I have four shakes a day, then my dinner meal can't exceed 250 calories. My max calories a day is 870. Unlike others I've heard, I am not restricted to only liquids.

    voltaren gel

It is a pain reliever in a topical gel form. I have it for degenerative arthritis and pain in my joints. For me it is extremely effective.

    Tomorrow is the BIG DAY!

GOOD LUCK!!!! We will all be thinking of you. Our group of September sleevers! I am one week away, well and 1 day. September 9th. I was just thinking about the day of surgery. How will I feel? Will I be first? Will I cry? I am so anxious. Please, please keep us posted. Prayers with you!

    HAD IT DONE!

Rmag, congratulation! You have given your son the biggest and best gift of all...YOU! It is funny I just saw this topic as I was sitting here thinking about my surgery day. How will it be, will I cry when I say goodbye to my husband? My children are grown so no worries there, but my husband has many reservations about this surgery. He says it just scares him. I applaud you posting such a tender moment here, you are brave and a real hero to your family. Keep up the good work. OH and yeah...never trust a fart.

I feel like I am starving

I battled with my pre surgical diet the past couple days. I was not drinking my lemon Water. Cold water with 1/2 a lemon dropped in. I was battling hunger. Today I have my lemon water and am drinking my 3rd 32 oz bottle. I am NOT hungry at all. I'm not saying it will work for you, but it does me. You could try it. I hear a lot of this and what I think is it takes the body a while to adjust. Surgery today or last week and we should not expect miracles on the food urges. Just my opinion, but it makes sense to me. Can you have cream Soups? Does that help.

    Pre-Surgery Diet - What's yours

This is my new find and I have had a few licks today with my lemon Water and Protein shake. It really isn't bad. It is a clear paste, you squeeze out the top and can recap.

    Pre-Surgery Diet - What's yours

I have to say, that is a very brutal diet. I'm not sure I could do that one.

    leggings ARE pants!

OH, I saw that one. I thought you posted another one, like full body, twerking, or leaning against a mirror or something, shower scene (which would be OK cuz you would have leggings on). I like it.

    Weight loss Surgery W/ RA

I have degenerative arthritis. I began my journey last year and my sleeve surgery is next week. Gather information and I will tell you, you are in the right place. There is so much knowledge and information here, however always remember to follow the advice of your Dr. I don't take steroids, but I do take meds each day for inflammation and to try and manage the pain. I also have a gel called Volteran that I swear by for joint pain. You should get some great feedback.
  15. Wow such a flurry of sleevers nesting. I know I will be the same way next week at this time. Right now I am nesting trying to get everything set at work. Arggggggg
  16. One thing is a bit confusing to me. I see so many people in the many threads and topics and I've noticed something. There are people talking about their goal weight, or preparing for surgery, or that they are a week or two out and how much they have lost. Some are getting excited about their approval, or impending surgery date. Then I look at the bio part or their profile and it say Surgery Date 1999. I am confused and wonder why it says that if it is a default setting and people are just not entering their surgery date. I like to look at where people are now and when they had their respective surgery. Thanks.

    leggings ARE pants!

I have a question......What could be better than wearing leggings, tights or yoga pants and twerking? You know the big girls can twerk.

What did you take to hospital?

Thank you so much. I LIVE to wear sweats and comfy jammies. When was your surgery again?

What did you take to hospital?

My surgery is September 9th. I just had my last pre-surgical appointment and I asked this question. They told me to bring jammies, comfy one. Sweats to go home in just make sure they are loose and comfortable around the waist. There is no TV there, so I can bring my tablet and/or my phone so I can play a game or something. Or I can bring a book to read. I have to bring my cpap machine so they can hook me up. Actually, I hope to sleep, sleep, sleep.

    Dates of Surgery?

Ahhhhhh, that makes sense. I thought it had something to do with some technical thing.

    leggings ARE pants!

I have to say I always enjoyed leggings and spandex pants. Leggings with leg warmers..............I rock it. LOL My husband says he LOVES me in leggings. Since gaining weight I find that they are very hard to get up and if I can get them up then they roll down under the HUGE pile of fat that has taken up residency near my mid section. Sometimes it takes over an hour to get that roll out! Another love is Yoga pants, I have several pair of them too. My husband will continue to buy and I know I appreciate it, however I can't wait to put them on without hearing Rippppppppppp. With my new body coming, I will be able to wear all these enticing clothes and love it.
