No, TV for me. They start shooting new shows on Monday the 7th. Today I have been having more gas than yesterday. That is what is painful. If I drink too fast I can also feel it just "stop" at my port site for a couple of seconds. Did you ever feel that? Just trying to make sure if it is normal. That has been the worst part gas and the sharp pain when I drink to fast. I am walking fine just still a tiny bit sore. Dr. Davis really is great. I do go see him this week so maybe they will be in the office shooting. I will post if they are.

I had my surgery yesterday and am doing great. My root canel hurt more....so far. I have been walking quite bit and drinking my liquids. No problem so far. But I am only one day out. I LOVED HAVING DR. DAVIS DO MY SURGERY. HE WAS THE BEST. I go for my followup next week. So far I would do it again in a heartbeat. I appreciate reading the reply and support from this site.

Dr. Davis did my surgey yesterday 1.4.07. I loved him. He was so good and I did great. I hope you get approved with no problems. It was excluded from my insurance so we had to pay. Really very liitle pain.

Had my surgery yesterday and am doing fine. Pain 2 on a scale of 1-10. I took liquid pain med at home last night. Walking circles around the pool, drinking, breathing in the thing they give you to keep lungs good. BM already. I am sore but hurting not yet. I would HIGHLY recommend to everyone. I will keep you posted

The little Dr. Davis is doing mine. Pre op tomorrow at 9:00...Yipes. He was very nice both times I went to visit him at his office and he was really, really patient at both seminars I went to. There were so many questions - mostly about the bypass..My husband thinks I am in safe hands. I agree about the shrink they work with. I didn't see her I saw a wonderful young lady and also a wonderful dietatician. I told the shrink the one on the show was always saying people are depressed that have other issues. Well when you get to big to wipe your behind of course you are depressed. When you flap all over your husband in bed that can be depressing too and there is nothing flattering about a size 22 regardless of what your best friend says. food taste good - real good and the band will be a tool to lifestyle changes. We are self pay so we are doing some things we really wanted to do to pay for my surgery. I am having mine at University General in Houston instead of Methodist. I won't be a Bid Medicine "star". The price is half for the month of January and it has a GREAT baratric program. Friday morning - second surgery of the day. The GasX and liquid Tylonol are on the counter - went shopping today based on the blog telling everyone what you needed the first two weeks. Wish me luck.:ranger:

Not sure how to add my name and date but getting lap band on January 5.

I am having lap band in Houston on Friday 1/5. I am quite scared and hope everything goes well. What will the first few days be like? Do you find yourself being full weeks later? I hope I can eat a small amount of food and actually feel full. I am going to work hard. How long after surgery can you exercise? Dr. Garth Davis is doing my surgery so I feel I am in good, experienced hands.
