I get a little nervous so I always ask for something to calm my nerves while I'm waiting for the surgery. They shoot me up with something that makes me feel so good and I don't have a care in the world.

Considering... has anyone been in my boat!?
Kym Preslar replied to lakiaki's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You can always go to a doctor and find out if they would do it. -
I love to drink too! I have not had the surgery yet so I'm not sure either. All I know is you have to wait 6 months but I thought beer was off the table.?? No bubbly stuff. Plus if you drink a lot you can gain the weight back. I hope someone that has experienced this will comment. I have cut way back on the drinking since I decided to get the surgery so I'm prepping myself for no alcohol. Good luck!!

Stomach Biopsy Questions

I also woke up as they were pulling the tube they put down your throat but mine was for a different surgery years ago. I don't know why they don't make sure you are still asleep when they do that. I will definitely be telling the doctor to not wake me up until it's out this time. -
You are so lucky! My last nutrition appointment is in October and the time cannot go fast enough. Good luck with everything!

Important Question

Jenn1, your video is amazing and you look great! I can't wait to be where you're at. Thanks for sharing! -
I wonder if that is the same for Anthem Blue Cross. I have to do six months and the time is going by so slow.

SGC, I take spin classes and my knees hit my stomach and it makes me so mad! I adjusted the seat so now they aren't hitting as bad but it's still annoying. I can't wait to get rid of this stomach of mine. I haven't gotten the surgery yet either but am so looking forward to it. I love to work out and weighing less will make it so much more fun! The elliptical or just walking will help you get moving and feeling better. I always feel great after a workout. I do Zumba and spin classes as well as the elliptical. I need to start lifting some weights soon. Good luck!

I've been doing Zumba for 3 years now and I LOVE it! If you can't do the moves just keep moving until you learn the routines. As long as you are moving you are exercising and the music is great! I had no moves until I started doing Zumba. And no one cares if you are a beginner, just do what you can and keep going back!

Important Question

Thank you for all your responses. JamieLogical thank you so much for the pictures. You guys look great! I have good skin so hopefully I will look the same in the face but without the double chin. I am looking forward to feeling great and not taking any more medications! -
Do you think it's possible for my surgery to happen by year's end ?
Kym Preslar replied to Dub's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am also hoping for end of year surgery. My last nutritionist appointment is October 27th (have to do 6 months due to insurance requirements). I called the Dr.'s office and was told that the end of year is their busiest time and they can't guarantee I can get it before the end of the year. I also need to do it by then. I work in a tax office so I need to be ready to go again by the last week in January. Good luck to us both!! -
New here...Meeting with Psych Dr.....nervous
Kym Preslar replied to raylene76's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was really scared but it was fine once I got to talking to the Dr. I was there for an hour and a half. There is a questionnaire asking a lot of weird things. I think it's to find out if you are really depressed and stuff and if you can handle this type of surgery. I just answered them as truthfully as I could but a lot of them didn't refer to me so I just put N/A. My Dr. told me at the end of the appointment that I was good to go. I'm sure you will do fine.
