MyLastCigarette app is the best. I smoked for 15 years and I gave been a non-smoker for 1 year, 69 days, 16 hours, and 10 minutes. I used the nicotine patch and the My Last Cigarette app. The app helped the most. Here's what it tells you
I have spent over $30,000 on cigs in my 30ish years on earth.
Since I quit, I saved over $2,600. Plus a bunch of health related stuff. For example, I have added 35 days to my life. Over 4 million people have died of smoking related causes since I quit. Plus there's a nasty pic (usually cancer related) and a daily message. It tells you how many cigs you haven't smoked, 8,693 in my case.
I still miss smoking but I can look at the app and see how far I've come. When I first quit I would look at the app every day, multiple times. Now I just look at it every now and then.
For me the e-cigs were too close to real cigs. I kept cheating. Once I started the patch and the app, that was it. I haven't cheated once! It was/is an addiction for me. But I knew if I smoked on the patch I could/would have a heart attack or a stroke.
If you get the app, be sure and write down your quit date, costs, and habits so if you get a new smart phone you can input the same data. I learned that the hard way. GOOD LUCK to you and everyone quitting out there.
