    Sugar free electrolyte powder

This is a possibility! Thanks!! Have you tried this one?
  2. Hi All! I'm going to have my sleeve in just under three weeks. Knowing that I go back to work at my busy NYC ER (I'm a nurse) at 2 weeks post op, I'm in search of a really good electrolyte powder that's sugar free. Summer is our down season and I'll have no heavy lifting (I work in pediatrics), but I'd love to have something in powdered form so that I don't have to carry bottles of fluids in with me for my shifts. If all else fails, I know my colleagues will hook me up with a bag of fluids during my break, but I'd rather it not come to that.... Thanks for your recs.

    New York sleevers

Thanks sueCque! I'm definitely optimistic but a piece of me is wondering how this will work when so many other things have failed in the past. I know that if I can see a loss I will stick to it. My greatest concern is that I will go through with this and have no results to show for it. Still, I feel that I must do it.

    Sept 1 Surgery in Tijuana

Hi! I am scheduled for the 28th in NYC at Bellevue. Super excited and anxious.
  5. Hi Jana and All! I am an RN from NYC and I am in the preapproval process right now. My surgery is currently scheduled for the 28th of Sept. at Bellevue Hospital. I have two nursing school classmates who had the sleeve procedure there and are doing great. I an a new nurse with little experience so far. I passed the NCLEX last August and have been working homecare per diem here and there. My greatest concern is mixed with my greatest hope. That I will be hired for a more permanent position right around the time of my surgery. I have recently had 4 very successful interviews that I am waiting to hear back from and all of the positions start in September. My question to all of you is, how did you balance your new sleeve with work? Was recovery long/difficult? One of my friends was able to go back to work two days out from surgery but I know that recovery is very individual. Was anyone feeling ill and working post op? How did you broach the topic with employers? Should I lay it all out on the table in my interviews or wait till I'm hired to let people know I plan to do this? Any and all help would be appreciated. So glad I found this thread!!!! Thanks! Regina

    New York sleevers

Exited, anxious, terrified.....the whole mixed bag of emotions. My greatest worry is that I will go through the surgery and it won't work. I've been dieting since I was 5. So far it's only gotten me here. And though by bariatric standards I am a lightweight, I can only see myself getting heavier and heavier if I don't do something about it now. So happy to have all of your support!

    New York City anyone?

Hi All, I am scheduled for surgery on 9/28 and I can't wait to start my journey to better health. Has anyone else here had the sleeve at Bellevue? What was your experience? How was recovery? I have two little kids and a new nursing career and I'm hoping the recovery won't get in the way of day to day tasks beyond one week. I'd love to hear your stories. Thanks! Regina
