Mdbanded4life. Congratulations on your weight loss success so far! Wow. 50 lbs!! Was it hard adjusting to band life? i'll be banded on Apr. 28th. I think you should put your question about any Italian doctors under a different heading like "Looking for Italian doctors"?? Just a thought. Good luck.

I'm wondering how much time my husband should take off work after my surgery. We're you able to take care of yourselves a few days after surgery? -

Mine was 40.5 w/no comorbidities. I was told any BMI over 40 should get approved and I was. Hopefully, yours will be the same. -
A similiar question was asked in another post but I wanted to hear from others so hear goes... I hear people say that before their first fill that they want to eat everything in site. I'm wondering... Do you feel the same unfilled (as no band at all), or do you still have to eat small bites and chew, chew chew or can you eat pretty much the same way as you did before the band. I'm asking this to people who have no restriction when they''re unfilled.

Does anyone know what kind of migraine headache medicine bandsters can take that's over the counter and works?

Eating with unfilled band vs no band at all

Do you have to chew and chew and chew and take tiny bites or can you eat pretty much like you did pre-band, just a little less? -

angelface replied to viviananna's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Kat817. Thank you for your post. I'll be banded at the end of this month. I think the trick to these fills is to take it really slow and be patient. Did you tell your dr. you wanted a very small fill or did he just do it that way? -

Thanks. Let us know under the heading "Alli."
-
My migraines arn't as bad as some others but I always use Excederine Migraine. It usually helps me but I'm not sure if it's allowed with the band though. Anyone know if it is???

I did'nt know you could take Alli after you're banded. Will it hurt your pouch or stomach?

Unfilled LapBand Vs. No Lapband at all....What's the Difference ?
angelface replied to ramone's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
This question is directed ONLY at the people who feel no restriction before their first fill. Can you eat the same way ( that is the same amouts ) as you did before your band or do you have to take smaller bites and chew, chew, chew once you get the band. this question is for people with no restriction yet. -

Good question Ramone. I was wondering the same thing myself. Also, if you do feel the same unfilled (as no band at all), do you still have to eat small bites and chew, chew chew or can you eat pretty much the same way as you did before the band. I'm asking this to people who have no restriction when they''re unfilled. -
Website- medications bandsters should avoid

Does anyone know about a website for bandsters that tells us what medications we can take and what should be avoided? Someone mentioned it once in a thread but I've forgotten it. If anyone knows, please tell us. -
Looking for locals in Orange County.

Anyone out there from South Orange County. I live in Coto de Caza. -
I'm not yet banded but I was wondering when newly banded people say they are starving and could eat anything they want, do they really mean they could eat like before the band or do they mean they could eat a lot but they have to chew and chew and chew?

Website for medications Ok for bandsters?
angelface posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Does anyone out there know if there is a website for bandsters that tell us what medications to avoid (like motrin). I've heard people refer to it but I don't know what they're talking about. -

Is Excedrine OK to take?
angelface replied to angelface's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Chrisann. About how often do you take them? I'll be banded next month. Excedrine is the only thing i've found to get rid of a head ache. I don't take them too often, maybe 2 or 3 a month. I'm hoping that's allowed.
