@ I am done, Congrats on starting your WLS journey. I had CDPHP insurance for 15 years and the two Dr's in my immediate area didn't accept CDPHP. I'm happy for you that you were able to find a surgeon in your area. Best wishes to you. ????

You are not alone, am right there with you. The struggle is real. I have lost five pounds only to gain it back plus a few more. As of today I am at my starting weight again but it is a struggle to stay there. Does your insurance company or Doctor require you to lose a certain amount? Hang in there.

I have had the original nutri bullet for years. I use it for lots of things, scrambled eggs, protein shakes, chopping vegetables, hard boiled eggs, etc. I like it for my shakes because it doesn't leave any clumps.

From what I have read in this group many Dr's pencil their patients in on their surgery calendar prior to approval.

I'm confused with that to. Usually you would not have to pay anything more than your "out of pocket maximum" once you meet that dollar amount. I can't see you having to pay any more than that amount even if you have a co-insurance responsibility. Do you have a broker you work with that maybe can help explain the policy better? If not call back tomorrow & tell them to explain it to you again.

As with a past surgery, my plan for after surgery is to keep my head elevated 45 degrees and to walk as soon as I can, as much as I possibly can. I know I'll make myself do that but I do worry about getting the water in.

I'm scheduled to be sleeved 12/14. I had my flu shot this past Thursday.

Jewels, So sorry to hear you are still not feeling good. Hopefully this week coming will turn it all around & you'll see some change & not feel so nauseous.

Is it from arthritis? For me the only thing that helps with that is Mobic. Not good for the heart to take it every day, but if it's the only thing that helps I have to take it occasionally.

Try to stop the soda ASAP. You might be very surprised that it's not hard to kick the habit. I had a daily 2lt diet ginger ale habit. I stopped buying it & drank more water & real brewed iced tea. Honestly I don't miss it & if I take a sip of my husbands carbonated drink I honestly do not like the feeling of it going down. Good luck to you????

Sorry to hear your procedure is delayed but very happy to hear your surgeon was on top of this and backed out in that moment.

I'm scheduled for December 14th, pending insurance approval. I'm so happy to be in this process that I don't even care that Christmas & New Years holidays will be on either liquid or soft diet. Im thinking its a small adjustment to make for future health & happiness.

Hello, Sorry for the late response. In my nutrition meetings we go over the basics of nutrition, whats a smart choice, whats a bad food choice, the importance of Protein, etc. For the first 4 months I am seeing a staff nutritionist, the last 2 month visits I will see the Bariatric Program Director who is also a nutritionist. I've been to a few of her support meetings that she hosts & I think that when I meet one on one with her I will truly gain something from her sessions. She has so much to offer in her support groups I'm looking forward to my one on one sessions with her. How are you doing?
