    Constipation

Yes, Smooth Move Tea works great and the cup of tea is very good. The original blend has a slight licorice flavor and there is also a peppermint flavor.
  2. Not every Dr has the same pre-op diet. Some are more strict than others and some don't require anything but Clear liquids the day before. I had a 2 week pre-op diet of 2 daily meals replaced with a Protein drink and one meal of 3oz lean protein, 1c of a non starchy vegetable & a small salad. In all honesty it wasn't that bad at all. You will need to adapt to a whole new food lifestyle after surgery, so you might as well start now. As far as vomiting goes, I have never had to since surgery. My surgery went smooth with no complications during or after surgery. I can understand your worries. May I suggest you go to every pre-op education class or support group that your weight loss program offers prior to your surgery date. The more informed you are and understand the whole process the more confident you will be in your decision.
  3. I didn't take any before pictures or take body measurements.
  4. Syntrax Nectar Fuzzy Navel 23gr protein per scoop. Mixes easily with a spoon in water. No blender needed & no clumps. It's a light alternative to a protein shake made with milk.
  5. So I'm not the only one who thinks the look of it makes the taste worse.[emoji4] I will try the Caribbean Cooler next and also the unflavored mix. Thanks friends [emoji4]
  6. I'm a big fan of Syntrax Fuzzy Navel flavor. I've tried other flavors, Strawberry Kiwi tastes ok but doesn't mix as clear as FN. Grape was awful and I returned it. Yesterday I bought the Lemon Tea flavor, it mixes well but I can't figure out if I like the taste or not. Has anybody tried it and gotten used to it or liked it? I'm not sure if I'm having an issue with the look of it and maybe that's what throwing me off!? It looks like pond water.

    I had a binge :(

You feel bad about it and this will help you to get back on track and do what you need to do. If we were all perfect there wouldn't need to be a thing called WLS. It's a new day, move on & learn something from it. [emoji274]
  8. Ok how about eggs, scrambled, omelet or hard boiled? Also you can try Dannon triple zero Greek yogurt, 24 gr of protein each. Tuna or chicken salad with some light mayo. Shrimp is one of my new favorites.
  9. I was stalled for a month also and was doing everything right. What did help me was to eat more of my protein from actual fish or chicken & to back off on the protein drinks. When I did this the scale moved in about 3 days. I will admit, I remember dreading a liquid diet during the pre-op stage. But after a while you get used to it & realize it's so much easier to grab a protein drink & go. Now I'm back to planning what I need to cook.

    Anesthesia

I have not had a problem with waking up from any of my surgeries. I honestly just "woke up" just as I would from a good nights sleep. I opened my eyes and there was my nurse saying "Hello" I had no nausea or dry mouth issues. Relax and let the anesthesiologist do their job. After your surgery you'll be thinking "That wasn't bad after all" [emoji4]

    Vacation after surgery ?

I think that you should be able to go with no problems providing you don't have any complications from the surgery. Your surgery is in 2 weeks, which would be around 3/8. Your vacation is in early April which should be about 4 weeks post op. Speaking from my experience I was fine by 4 weeks post op & went on my previously planned vacation at 6 weeks post op. Even though you will probably be on soft foods by then, bring some of your protein drinks or powder mix with you to be sure you are getting your protein requirements in each day. Go on vacation and have a great time & go see the show Rock of Ages while your in Vegas. [emoji4]

    Cruise Pre-op

I went on a cruise at 6 weeks post op. Looking back I would have been ok to go earlier, I just would have had to rely on my protein drinks more, but still could have been done. At 6 weeks post op while on the cruise, I had eggs for breakfast, some form of protein for lunch and dinner. I would mix a protein drink for a snack once in a while to be sure I was getting enough protein. For me everything was fine.

    Favorite Purees?

I never did purée any food in a blender or food processor. If you have teeth you should be able to chew your food to a puréed texture.

    Anesthesia......

I felt the same as you prior to my first surgery in 2010. You are right about conquering that anxiety. For my WLS in Dec 2015 I had almost no anxiety at all. You can do this!!! Best wishes to you.

    Vitamins

Question about the vitamin patch. Do you need to put a new patch on everyday, weekly, monthly? How does that work?

    Waterpills

Just curious, are you speaking of pre-op weigh in visits or post-op weigh ins?

    Thinking of getting vsg

Your stats are almost exactly the same as mine at my start. The only difference is I'm 5' 2" For me it was one of the very best decisions I ever made.

My first soft food was a vanilla Oikos Zero Greek Yogurt. It was like heaven. That yogurt was so good it taste like cheesecake to me. ☺️
