So i'm 17 days post op....my husband and I used to go out to eat socially with friends. I would also meet girlfriends for meals. That's definitely been a void so far. We did Go out to eat last eve....and I had 1/4 cup chili and some applesauce. I cried a little, just because it was so different. My hubs is super supportive and comforted me. Did any of you find going out to eat hard? Any strategies? Will this get easier?

Sorry about all the questions but they are all on my mind. Again 17 days post op and starting to live again. Highs have been in the 90s where we live. I have been enjoying sugar free Popsicles but wondered if anyone else had any great frozen treat ideas? Frozen yogurt?

I had gastric bypass on July 13th so I am 2 weeks post surgery. Recovery is going well. Strictly following surgeons orders. Have had some emotional times but guess that's normal. Have had great support from friends but some strange interactions with family members. My 4 year old niece has a bday this week. I have spent each bday with her. Tonight my sister ( her mom) told me that she is worried that her bday activity would be too much walking for me and that they were planning on going to lunch and they wouldn't want me to feel uncomfortable. Feel totally excluded and sad..... Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am two weeks post op. Doing ok....tired, weak but trying to remain optimistic. I am already noticing that my fingers are thinner...my wedding ring is more loose. This makes me excited! ???????????? I have had the 'should I have done this' moments but I guess that's normal. Hang in there! -
Thank you so much Scarlet56 and Armywife79! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ great perspective! I am actually meeting a coworker of mine who had band surgery 2 years ago tomorrow for support.
