So after 2 1/2 years I must say bye bye band. Dr office just call to confirm my removal on 4/28. It has been four long months of testing that resulted on a final visit for an endoscopy that show the band erored. I have only lost 45# since my operation but went from a size 22/24 to 14/16 andI'm truly happy with results. I'm not sure that I will be a approve for a new band or that I'll be able to get a band due to scar tissue:cursing:. Has anyone who expirience erossion had their band replace and if so how long did you wait?

Are you a closet bandster? & Do you regret your decision?
adp240 replied to Time to love me's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I decided not to tell because this is a very personal. I told my husband and he is very understanding, my mother she is my best friend and my sister because she had GBP last year and her story got me moving and she came with me to seminars and dr's visit and held my hand when I was scared. My plan is to share the new way of eating with anyone that ask (Protein first). I don't think this is the easy way out and don't let anyone tell you other wise. What ever you decide I'm sure you will make it work. And remember the people in this board are always here for you. -

Would you convert to Bypass if...
adp240 replied to DeLarla's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I decided to go with the band because the recovery period was less than with GBP but if something went wrong and the band had to be removed later on I would consider GBP. My sister had GBP done last october and she is very happy and healthier than ever she no longer takes medication for her diabetes or cholesterol problems and she came with me to the required orientation and told her Dr. how much he changed her life. will be banded 9/26/05 -
I just wanted to say hello. I'm schedule to be banded on 9/26 and looking foward to the new me.
