I had my band 01-07...and i have to wait 3 months for a fill...they said this is his standard time before fill #1....is this your expierience too?? I am freaking going nuts i keep reading about all these people getting thier fill 6 weeks post op and its not fair ...i know i need patience, but i am having such a hard time with portion control!! i ahve hardly any restrction at all, if i had great will power i wouldnt have need this surgery... So please tell me you have convinced your dr especially if your dr is dr. carter!!! that you can "handle" a fill earlier then he thinks.....:tt2:.....i need a FILL. i need to feel i am doing something, i want to start losing weight ....i have lost about 20 pounds since surgery and i have so much more to go....ugh help any suggestions and any advice....even if it is a kick in arse is so appreciated

as far as the issue of your c-section incision being raw and moist due to the overhang of stomach, I had the same thing....with all 3 c-sections!!! Heres what my dr suggested..... after you shower dry that area with a blow dryer...so you know it is dry, and they place some surgical gauze there (just a thin layer) to absorb any seeping or sweat that may occur.... Now it sounds like you may need somthing to help with a possible infection of some sort...so call you OB/GYN!! trust me they have other fat patients...my dr said it was a common problem, so call and tell them whats going on.... I sure hope you feel better soon, and that the post c-section flab moves around a bit.....lol have a great day, and feel free to ask me anything you need to...

Banded 1/9/08, first adjustment not until March!!!
ch4251 replied to AlisaH's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
well dont feel roo bad i have to wait three months after banding for first fill :hurray:...but my dr assured me in the long run it will all even out, and i will lose the smae inthe forst year either way!! i hope he's right but i also feel very litle restriction, so i know what you mean...it definelty is called bandster hell for a reason!!! -
how long did yours stay on? did they fall off on thier own or did your dr have to remove them? i am 7 days post-op and the ones in my belly button already fell off, but they didnt seem to be attatched to well either, but the ones on my port incision...wowsers...i dont see those suckers falling off on thier own EVER lol
-
aww, thats great news...take good care of yourself....lots of rest!!!!
-
i had a stomach flu, the worst, most violent i have ever had. I had it for 3 whole days, severe vomitting and diarhea, I got well 2 days before surgery!!!!! and it was fine!!! ......now yours most likely is some sort of infectio0n, and that could be a different story, so definelty check with your dr......trust me the post op is bad enough on its own you dont want to make it worse by going ahead when you are really sick with something that can really affect you....so go with whatever your dr says!!!!!!
-
I have UHC and it was easy peasy!!!! No trouble at all, I was asked to provide Dr's documentation of my weight for the last 5 years, one weight for each year, I could only provide 4 years, but it was no isssue at all!!!
-
does that sound right? lol....i asked my dr's office which band i have and this is what they said.... is this the 10 cc band? just curios who else has this band, and what there opinions are:cool2:
