Congratulations!!!!!

I am having a weird heartburn type feeling on my right side today.

Right now they are red and ugly. but pretty small except for the port one that is about an inch long. I am a week and 2 days out.

I feel exactly the same way!! I am down 17 lbs over almost a month but that was really the pre-surgery liquid diet. I lost just another 2 lbs since my banding last Thursday. My doc said is is common for people to stay the same or even gain at this point when you start to eat a little again. I also don't feel like I am consuming enough calories at this point to lose - my body probably thinks it is in starvation mode!! My first fill is 3 weeks after surgery and I am really hungry as these liquids are going right through my band. I start eggs and cottage cheese on Sunday and I'm thinking that will taste like a pizza! good luck to everyone and please keep posting your stories - good and bad! I think we are all on the same track!

@@KerryS - your experiences sound like mine. I am starting mushy foods on Sunday (my surgery was last Thursday). I cannot wait for that (eggs, cottage cheese - who knew those would sound so good??). But I am thinking I will gain some back, too. I am currently down 17 lbs.

@sjmoney - that IS what the forum is for so please keep asking your questions!! I know I am going to!! My doc didn't say to put any Neosporin on. Do you have little bandages on the incisions? I did and they said to leave them on until they fell off so that wouldn't even allow Neosporin to be on them. Thanks and good luck!!

I got banded last Thursday and the port site is the sorest for me. I can barely feel the others. My doctor said to shower as normal but don't scrub the incision sites - just let soap and Water flow over them. I have a trip next weekend to a pool and was wondering if it is okay to go in. Wondering if anyone knows?

Hi, I'm going in for my lapband this Thursday and just thought of a question I should have asked before --- how many incisions will I have? I read about the single incision method thru the belly button, but is that the most common form today? Thanks so much!

Hi, vancity. I had my band put in last Thursday and with the pre-op diet, I am down 16 lbs. I have stayed the same the past 3 days. Sounds similar to your experience. Good luck!!!
