I was just thinking this today when I was walking. I am trying to train for a 5k and I have been trying to start running and ive noticed that my port area hurts when I run for a couple minutes.. ( I really only run for 2-3 minutes at a time right now). I was wondering if I should call the Dr. office about it to see if its just from the loose skin around the area, or if they know this to be an issue related to the band. I also notice the band and discomfort when I go to the beach or pool and I try to lay on my stomach. Also when doing exercises on my stomache as well. Anyone else get that? Im glad I saw this post today casue I was wondering if anyone else had the same issue. I feel like my port is really close to the surface of my skin for some reason. but maybe it wasnt before I lost weight! hmmm! Aimee

what you wrote is exactly how I hqve been feeling and even with the same "ideas" of what I now have to do to get back on track. Good to hear you have already lost 2 with the changes..I am definately going to do the same..keep it up..and good luck..

some days better than others
aimeeman replied to fatme's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I feel the same!! Some days I can eat chicken, tuna etc. but other days it is much harder..so...stupidly I tried ice cream when I had a craving and Yes it went down so easy..so when I have those bad days I tend to resort to eating "bad" foods cause of course they sem to go down with no problem at all. I was wondering the same about the retriction and if I did get it loosened a bit I would be able to make better choices cause protein would go down easier..but then I get scared that it won't be enough restriction.. Ido feel like I am resorting to some old behaviorss..and I feel so guilty when I eat things I shouldnt..but why are they so easy to eat and not the things that I need to be eating...so frustrating.. I tried explaining this to a non-bander and it was really hard to explain what I was feeling and what I meant exactly....Just had to get this out to someone who knows!! Keep me posted if you do get it loosened and if it helps. -
A thread for Single Bandsters
aimeeman replied to NewBeginnings2018's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi Chrispygal. I was excited to see that someone started a thread like this. I am 36, single, living North of Boston. I am scheduled to be banded on Feb. 11. I just started dating a guy and have been contemplating telling him or not. I don't really know what to say when I am in the hospital and out of commission for a a week or two. It's kindof a weird subject to just bring up. It's nice to know that he likes me at the weight I'm at now and imagine it will be even better when I start losing weight and feeling better about myself. Also, what about having sex after the band? How soon after can you? Can anyone give some info about that? just curious!:eyebrows:
