Tea that has cooled off was good for me. Also I would add about 1/2 ounce of diet peach Snapple to 8 ounces of water.

Maybe try unflavored protein powder (Unjury.com has some in individual packets you could try) added to some broth. I have been enjoying a puréed black bean soup (2 cans) made with onions (diced), a little jalapeño pepper 1 tblsp diced), 6 cups low sodium chicken broth, 1 can diced tomatoes and spices (chili powder, oregano paprika cumin. ). I serve it topped with shredded cheddar cheese. Yum. Lots of fiber and protein. Also I enjoy plain low sugar Greek yogurt. If you don't like sugar substitutes you can use puréed fruit like peaches or banana to sweeten.

Puréed stage questions

I have been eating cottage cheese with puréed fruit or sugar free jam. I have also made a cauliflower cheese casserole from a recipe found online. Also a puréed black bean soup that I add shredded cheddar to after reheating. Puréed carrots. Soft baked white fish cooked in orange juice and olive oil. -

@Babbs. Thanks for that info. -
@lezz39. Hang in there. You will start to feel stronger and better every day. Go back and read any journal entries you may have made that lead you to have this surgery. I am just 4 weeks out and life is beginning to feel much more normal. I am back at work. Taking long walks. Went to a restaurant tonight for the first time since my surgery. Best is in losing 20 lbs so far my knees, ankles, and feet are already feeling better (less pain). Hope you begin to feel happier about your decision to have the surgery soon.

So sorry you are having these problems. Hopefully you stomach will begin to heal and the swelling will go down so that you will soon be able to sip fluids.

No Weightloss by week 3!

I was sleeved May 10, 2016 and have been in a stall since 2.5 weeks after my surgery. I think this first stall is particularly difficult because everything is so new so I tend to think that the surgery isn't working for me. But all I can do is keep on doing what I have been told. It is really comforting to hear from others who have been through this that the stall will end at some point. -
If you are dehydrated that can make you weak. Are you drinking enough water/ fluids? Also do your vitamin pills have iron? Your iron level may be low. You should talk with your surgeon and see what they suggest.

I use unjury protein powder. I find that if I make a shake with the powder and milk that it doesn't agree with me. It tastes better to me and doesn't make me feel ill if I use unsweetened almond breeze with the powder. Also like to mix the unjury chocolate powder with 8 oz plain decaf coffee and add some ice. I only use plain Greek yogurt with less than 5 g sugar. Chobani and Sigi Icelandic. Are both good. Make a smoothie with the Greek yogurt (1/2 cup) and 1 cup frozen mango and 1/2 cup water.

There are support group forums here organized by year. You can post in the one for the type of surgery you had. Look under forums. -
Hang in there. Hoping every day will find you feeling better.

I was told to stay away from broccoli for awhile. I was on clear liquids first 2.5 weeks after surgery. My surgeon said it was important to let my stomach heal.
-
Tomorrow it will be 3 weeks since my surgery. Anyone else feel weak / tired after they eat ( or have s protein shake)? I go back to work tomorrow and hope I can handle not having these naps after I eat!

I have been eating cottage cheese with puréed pineapple chunks or peaches. Hot oat bran farina like cereal. White fish baked in orange juice. Mashed potatoe. A ricotta bake recipe from [http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/?m=1]. The eggface site has other good ideas.

My sleeve surgery was May 10. I have been on clear liquids only since then. Have lost about 20 lbs so far. ( I did not have a pre- op diet). I go to my first follow-up with the surgeon tomorrow and am hoping to move on to purée diet. I have been trying to go for 3 one- mile walks a day. Feeling better each day. No pain or nausea since I found some centium mint chewable vitamins. The others I had made me gag.

GinaCampbell I had this happen to me. I was scheduled for surgery last October and my platelet count was too low and my surgeon cancelled the surgery 3 days before it was scheduled. I had to follow up on some other health issues and was quite depressed for several months. Finally had my surgery last week. Remember that your health and safety are most important. Hang in there.

If you are vomiting all the time you should contact your sugeon's office. You need to stay hydrated. Lack of fluids could be why you aren't having a BM.

You are certainly not a failure! You lost 100 pounds and made a huge difference to your health. Stop beating yourself up. This is not a race. It is your health and your life. Have you seen your doctor to see if there is a medical reason for the slow loss? Are you tracking your intake? Review what motivated you to have the surgery. Just a few ideas. You should feel extremely proud of what you have accomplished so far.
