What size do you want to be?

I would love anything 14 or down. I topped out at 22/3X shirts and I'm an 18/1X shirt now. I haven't been below 14 since college..............I am only 5'3"
  2. Hey Pop Rocks & Coke -- isn't that what killed Mikey from the Life cereal adds?????????

    Alright guys, need some help!

Yup, definately ditto all of this. I went 3 days liquids & 3 days mushies after my last fill and I have been having PBs since trying to reintegrate real food. I am in tightness city too. Just like DOC though, I have this whole first bite of real food nightmare that I have to get through and then I can eat. If I begin to eat and just keep on without waiting, I PB too. I just found this out by accident -- giving up after 1 bite because I felt stuck and then 3 or 4 minutes later saying, wait a minute....let me try this again! After that I have to eat slowly but not such a big pause as the first bite -- it's like a primer or something!!!! Anyhow, that's just me -- hope it helps, and hope you find some relief soon!

Need a title for new forum

I like the whole "banded together" or "band gone, not forgotten" idea or here are my takes on it: beyond bandland once a bandster.........always a bandster (at heart) lost our bands :ban: & still losing weight!
  9. OK, so I'm going to Florida in two weeks, and had to get the summer clothes out early (not to mention the fact it was 71 degrees in Boston yesterday!)......and to my surprise NONE of them fit!!!!! WAY TOO BIG!!!!! I have been so frustrated since I have lost over 50lbs and have only gone down 1 jean size and 1 bra size and can wear most of my other winter clothes. Different story on the summer stuff though! Guess I really pork it up in summer (historically) as all my summer things were bigger than my winter things. Anyhow, they are all gone now, and I have some serious shopping to do!!!!!! Anyone wanna go with? On a side note, I was playing with my bracelet the other night while watching TV -- you know the one, it hasn't been off my wrist in over 7 years, (even during 2 c-sections and lapband surgery) because it won't fit back over my hand, and suddenly I was holding it with my other hand! I didn't even realize it would come off! Well, at least if I'm not seeing some SVs, I have a few NSVs going on! Happy Spring everyone!
  10. Holy smokes -- just posted my last post and there my new avatar is even though it said upload failed.....ours is not to question why.....thanks anyways!
  11. OK, I'm not a newbie and can't get my pic to upload -- better than last time I did an avatar. This time I got to find it in the browse mode at least, but now it says "upload failed" when I try to "save changes" to select it -- any insight here ladies?

    Oh, LapBand, We Meet Again

That is one of the strangest things about the band...she is fickle! I find I usually know when her presence is about, but other times she lurks in the mist.........and bam! Sneak attack! You're right though, once you can handle the PBs it's not so bad.........and that's what she's there for to stop us -- right?

    discouraged? you can give up....

As usual Vines, there you are with the sagest words around propping us all up -- AMEN! Keep on truckin' lady, I know that somehow the Docs will figure out what they're doing and get your weight loss inhibitors under control and then bandland beware! Crystal will probably be at the front of the rabbit pack by sheer determination alone! You are about the strongest person around Vines, and you still have "it" to give to us too! You are truly amazing! And like someone else here said -- I'm still on the wagon -- I'm hanging by a rope off the back with a big old doughnut in my hand, but I'm in if Vines is in!

    Some habits never die.

Sorry -- had day like that recently and infact locked myself & 4 kids out of the house with cell phone safely locked inside the truck and no neighbors home. Had to walk about .5 miles to store & call hubby to bring keys home -- not a good start to the day -- did yours get any better?

    Slow Leakage? Is This Normal???

You are not the lone leaker! My friend had the same thing happen to her first fill and they said the same thing -- about air bubbles............hang in there -- hopefully at your next fill it will all be in there...............

Que est que c'est Pappadeaux?!?!? No sonic AND no Pappa whatever....who said the two coasts drive the country!?!?!?

This is what we're doing wrong!

I've always said that -- butter gives you heart attacks, but margarine gives you strokes. Burgers give youmad cow but chicken gives yousalmonella. Wine protects your brain, beer protects your heart. I guess it's all Russian roulette anyways -- you just get to pick how you want to go! But now I know -- it's the LANGUAGE, not the FOOD! Thank you thank you thank you! er, ah I mean Merci, Merci beaucoup, merci!

    Somebody Slap Me!!

Looks like I have to take a road trip -- what's a sonic? And why does everywhere except Massachusetts have them? Probably a good thing! Really the only drive thrus near us are McD's & BK and there's really nothing there that calls to me (except fries) so I can resist the urge. If they made drive thru pizza near here, I would be in BIG trouble! Pepperoni pizza is my favorite food and I cannot eat pizza at all since banding..............If anyone has to eat in the car -- make sure you have a cup or bag with you just in case..............

    Spaghetti Squash?

OK so here's a question that's really silly -- is it like squash or pasta -- does it taste like summer squash/zucchini?

    dismantle my life

Vines -- nothing wrong with a re-group. You have ALOT going on right now. Part of the whole "circle of life" thing is that sometimes you are a giver, and sometimes you are a taker. Right now you need us more than we need you, and I know that may not have come out right, but take our support and know that we are all pulling for you in this time of transition. You have done more than your share of giving and now it's time to let us shower you with support. Keep us all posted, and BTW what is that Dr's phone #?!?!?!?!?!?

    199!!! I made first goal!

:humble: Wow! I'm doing the happy dance for you. I have to admit I'm totally jealous! I have been hovering right above 200 FOREVER!!!! Can't wait til I can actually meet you on the ONEDERLAND dance floor -- trip the light fantastic for me girl! Keep it up!

Has anyone ever hit their port?

I live in an historic home and we have a high, enameled sink in our kitchen -- the kind that sits on 4 legs like a table. Anyhow, I often bump my port on the front of it when rushing around the kitchen at dinner time. Sometimes it's a dull pain like you hit your funny bone, other times though it feels like I got stabbed! Youch! It doesn't seem to bother me more, or less as I lose weight, but in general I find my port is more pronounced now.
