I totally understand. I got my band on Jan. 2nd and have only lost 13 pounds. I had one fill and I couldn't feel any difference. I am hungry and I can eat anything and everything. I go this Thursday for my 2nd fill. I hope I get some restriction and SOME WILL POWER!!!
I was told to have clear liquids for 48 hours and then fuller liquids for the next 5 days. After one week I could start the "mushy" phase. I cheated and started the mushy phase 4 days after surgery. I have had no problem and feel much more satisfied and sane.
I was banded last Wednesday and returned to work today. My recovery has gone very well. Too good almost. I am already in the mushy stage because I was so hungry I could have eaten my children. I too am concerned I am eating too much. I was able to eat a cup of mashed potatoes tonight with no problem. I ate slow and I do feel full but I think I was only suppose to have 2 ounces. I'm like a newborn. If I only get 2 ounces at a time I want to be fed more often. I don't feel any pain after eating a cup. Is this OK?
I had my lap band surgery yesterday in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Terry Simpson was wonderful! I am feeling a hundred percent better today. I am drinking alot of clear fluids. I am so excited for my new journey
