Ok I'm not the only one who is days away from surgery and still feels a little unsure! That makes me feel better! If my insurance would cover a breast reduction- I would get one in a heartbeat! That is one thing I'm hoping is that I lose some of the boobage! A life long dream/goal of mine is to be able to buy a bra that fits from Victoria Secrets! Or even a cheap one from Target! I'm tired of the Lane Bryant ones! We should start a fb August Bands 2015 group! A secret/closed group of course! ????

Is anyone else having any last minute doubts? I can look past the fact that I'm stressing over the money part, and how life with food will change, but it's all the negative or horror stories that have me still just a little unsure about going through. Like the people who only have their bands for a few years and then need it removed. If I'm financing this thing for 4/5 years- I need it to last that long or longer. I went to my preop yesterday and asked the surgeon several questions and he reassured that some things do happen often (slips) and that some issues are rare (erosion). One thing I've realized is that this is definitely a different experience for each person. I'm hoping to be one of the ones who is successful with it, but that small voice inside me keeps saying "what if you're not, then you're screwed".

We should! I like that idea!

I bought a large tub of Met-Rx vanilla Protein powder from Trader Joes. I just can't stomach the texture/taste. It's like drinking cake batter. I should try some premade shakes- they might be better. I should look at it that way. And all the money I'll save from eating out. I'll be a cheap date now. ????

I am only supposed to have 1 (one) small meal, 2 protein shakes, and two snacks of sf jello/sf Popsicles. But I can't stand protein shakes- so I've swapped them out with tuna or extra meat/veggies. So I'm not sticking to it 100% but I'm keeping it very low carb/low fat and it's definitely a lot less than I usually eat. I went for preop yesterday. Surgeon seemed nice. I'm excited, but still feel guilty since I'm financing it and paying out of pocket. My husband is supportive but I can't shake the guilt of my bad choices in life are now becoming an extra bill each month. But I'm a worry rat and will stress out over anything. Lol.

Me too! August 7th. Very scared and nervous. Overwhelmed too! And not to mention HUNGRY! This preop diet sucks.
