Hi my surgery was June 11th, I am 33 and 5' 7. I weighed 285 when I started my pre-op, was 261 the day of surgery and am now fluctuating between 228 and 235 at 6 weeks out is it normal to fluctuate like this? I feel like I'm doing something wrong every time I see the scale move up I get scared that it's going to keep going up. I'm worried that I did this surgery for nothing, that it's not going to work for me. I'm really getting stressed out because I don't seem to be losing weight, and I don't know what to do. I'm looking for any help or guidance you guys can give me. Someone please help.

I was sleeved on June 11th, I am 5' 7" I was 261 the day in went in for surgery and am now 231 on August 19th. I too have hit a huge stall I haven't been able to drop any weight for over a week now. I'm starting to get pretty depressed and worried that I'm going to stay at this weight. I was told to drink more water and make sure I get the required amount of protein but I'm not sure what to do. I actually gained a couple pounds last week. From reading here it sounds like this is normal I just wish this year would pass quick so I could stop worrying if this is actually going to work for me.

Don't worry it took me a good couple weeks to start noticing any difference after my surgery. I am just over a month out I was 261 going in on June 11th and am now 231. It really does take awhile for all the gas to leave the body and start showing weight loss. Expect their to be stalls as well I stopped losing for a week and got really depressed but it coming off again now. They say that it was because I wasn't getting enough water intake so make sure you drink the required amount so you don't retain more then you need to. Hang in their it will come off. I have too try to remember that too
