    Help! Starving!

It IS miserable. Bless your heart. Drink your protein shakes slowly and stay hydrated. Every time I started feeling hungry, I'd get a big glass of water and try to find a drawer to clean out! I got rid of so much stuff those two weeks trying to keep my mind off of what I was missing, haha! I'll be praying for you. Press on, Girl! ❤️
  2. Aww, congratulations! I just had mine on September 2nd. So far, so good! I will say this...the gas pains are pretty brutal, ha! I'm still having them a week out. I won't go out in public yet because I don't want to embarrass myself!

    Calories and being discouraged

I was just about to post when I saw yours, ha! I am one week out and my doctor has graduated me to soft puréed foods. I was wondering if there are and sample daily plans out there? I like most anything, but am having a hard time knowing what to put on a grocery list other than cottage cheese and tuna, sugar free Jello and Popsicles. What are some good 2-7 week out foods that y'all would recommend? I'd love some suggestions! Thanks so much! Sally
  4. I talked to my doctor Tuesday morning and he said it was okay, and not enough to harm anything or cause complications. So I had my surgery yesterday at 2:30 and I came out with flying colors! I feel good, in a little pain but not anything that I cannot tolerate. So @@pmanley, no need for your rude comment. This page is for encouragement, not smartass remarks.
  5. Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum and am so glad I found y'all online and in the App Store. Reading through the posts encourages me and answers some of the questions I have. I'll be having RNY on September 2nd. My biggest fear is code bluing in the OR, and I know that's silly. I've got to get that thought out of my head? I've fought my weight since my teens (I just turned 50. Good grief, that sounds so old to me, ha!). I'm 5'0 and currently weigh 251. I attended a seminar at my surgeon's office and then had a consultation with me. He thinks the RNY is the best option for me. My pre-op date is scheduled for August 28 and immediately following I will start a 3 day liver shrinking diet until Sept. 2, the day of the procedure. I keep seeing where lots of y'all are doing a much longer pre-op liquid only diet. Should I consider doing the liquid diet longer? Would it be more beneficial to do it for 7-10 days prior? Thanks so much! I need all the support I can get! Blessings, Sally
