Oh honey! I'm sorry to hear that you are distraught. It's not real. Stay off the scale. Keep doing your tried and true rules and it will all work its way out. This is a traumatic change for your body. It's confused and trying to keep you alive by holding onto everything to preserve your health. After you are out of pain and healthy you will get back on track. Just remember to eat correctly and drink lots of water. Our prayers are with you in this difficult time. -

Protein Goal/Shopping List
SassyNanny replied to DuckieXD's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Premier Protein drinks. costco is cheapest. I like Choc and Vanilla. Drink them cold or heated. I use GENEPRO unflavored powfered protein still. I mix it into soups, SF pudding, eggs, drinks etc. I get it on amazon. Since a serving is one Tablespoon it lasts a long time. I drank cranberry juice the first week post op. I'm at a stall and I'm only 1 month out what can I do to loose more weight? Sent from my LG-H811 using the BariatricPal App Follow all your instructions to a "T" and read everything in here under "stalls". This is very normal. I had a 3 week stall at 3 weeks and a 3 week stall at 2 months. -
I also had surgery at 324! Mine was 11/18/15 and I'm down 57.5 lbs. I still have another 100 to go. Please don't give up! Start over with your basic rules. You can do this! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ann is the stone a direct result of WLS? Will adequate water stave off this horrifically painful thing from happening? -
How much have you lost in Month 1?...I just need to get a general indication

Did your Dr say if WLS surgery caused it? Is this a cautionary tale about drinking Water? Feel better soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I'd suggest reading the forum topics relating to your concerns. I've found that most doctors are a little vague about what to eat. Some are very specific and restrictive. Following the basic rules and talking it out on here helps me a lot. I'm down 57 lbs since 11.18 so it is working, stalls and all. Best Wishes! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Easter... What the heck am I gonna do!?
SassyNanny replied to bigguy928's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was sleeved Nov 18. For thanksgiving I had a quarter cup of mashed potatoes thinned out with gravy to a soupy consistency. It was delicious after several days of sweet Protein drinks and juice. Of course it gave me the runs. For Christmas at 6 weeks out I had some mashed potatoes and a couple of bites of cheesecake. I loved the smells of the prime rib but had absolutely no desire to eat any. I go to restaurants with friends all the time. Last night before the theater we went to an Italian place. I ordered caprese salad. I ate a slice of tomato and all the slices of fresh mozzarella cheese with balsamic. My friends had full meals and lots of bread. No one even noticed what I ate or didn't eat. I had absolutely no desire to have bread and the only thing I felt jealous about was their ability to drink something while they are eating their meal. I'm not trying to be strong, I really have no desire. Once you realize how little you can eat you will find that no matter what your triggers are you can't do much about it. During the rare celebration times (3) I have had small amounts of cake. Baby shower I split a small cupcake with another guest. It didn't make me sick. It didn't make me crave sweets. If it did either of those things I would just skip it now. I swear I am not struggling with the desire. Who am I??? I love it. There is always something on a menu that will work so I can eat out and not feel stressed out. I've split meals with friends and then eaten half of my half. At 4 months I can eat a little more. Sometimes I can eat a small chicken breast in one sitting. I'm saving so much money on food it is unreal!! Good luck with the holiday. Whatever phase your Dr has you on just pick a food that fits that category. Scalloped potatoes? Eat your serving size of 1/4-1/2 cup and stop. I took my vanilla premier Protein Drink at Christmas and heated it up with a little nutmeg on top and felt like I was having hot eggnog. Try adding unflavored Protein powder ( I get GENEPRO on Amazon)to your Water with Mio or Crystal Light drops in it. No one knows that you aren't having a cocktail. Eat before you go and again when you get home to finish up your protein. You got this! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Did you need someone to take care of you after surgery?
SassyNanny replied to crazygoose's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yep. Daisy is correct. My center wouldn't let me take an Uber home. My neighbors dropped me off and picked me up. If you can't find a friend for that hire a caregiver at $9 an hour to deliver you to and from. I ended up with a blood pressure spike after surgery and o have apnea do the dr wasn't keen on me being home alone. Neighbors called and checked on me. Even if I had paid someone to spend the night they wouldn't have been in my room staring at me to see if I was breathing. I used the narcotic sparingly and slept in my reclining chair for a couple of nights because it was easy to get up from it then the bed. I also drove in day 3 with no pain meds. It was surprisingly easy. Having someone call to check on you a couple times a day is probably s good idea just for safety sake. Best Wishes. Four months out 56.5 pounds down since 11-18. Loving my decision to do this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
2 weeks post op and regressed past 2 days?
SassyNanny replied to jmg79's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My Dr did not have me taking any pills for a month. Chewables, blood pressure patch, Prilosec capsule opened up and taken with a sip of liquid. Drinking Premier Protein drinks filled me up and I never felt hungry. Sipping slowly and aiming for 2oz every 15-30 minutes kept me busy and my protein high that first few days. Good luck! SassyNanny replied to newme1234's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Great News! Take it slowly. Ramp up to the Protein and Fluid goals. If you need help with getting protein into things like applesauce, Soup or yogurt try GENEPRO unflavored Protein powder. 1 tablespoon has 30g protein and 98 cals. I still use Premium protein (Choc and vanilla) premade drinks from costco. 30g 160 cals. Couldn't have kept my protein high without these 2 products. Best Wishes!! 4 months out and down 56 since surgery 11/18/15. The first couple of days I felt like I had done 100 sit-ups. Some pain in my shoulder blades. I never had gas. By day 5 I was off all pain meds and felt great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
