December 14th Sleevers
daniellenf replied to Terra B's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How are you all doing? I was sleeved December 15th. Hit a stalled from week 2.5 to week 4. Terrible!!! -
What is your bruise from!? OUCH! I was bruised all over my arms, but only because they kept taking my blood and I was on blood thinners. This was the day after my surgery
-
Is it a secret FB group? I'm interested, but not in plastering my business all over FB world I was sleeved on the 14th. It's not! I posted in it and then a girl I work with texted me saying she could see what I posted. So I left the group.

I too was sleeved the 15th and I'm hungry also! But I know it's all in my head. I try to drink more when I feel like this, or walk the dog lol.

I was started on protein the day after my surgery. My doctor said that the protein runs through your GI trac and will cause diarrhea in some people

Five days post-op and can't get in much fluids
daniellenf replied to 280journey's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm 8 days post-op. I didn't have those issues exactly, but I had trouble getting all my water in for about 3 days. I'd listen to what the nurse says also, just so you don't end up hurting yourself. -
I was sleeved on the 15th and I would say I was feeling better on Sunday. Yesterday I felt great, and same with today. At first I couldn't drink water like o was supposed to and couldn't tolerate protein but now it's no issue. It will get better, I promise!

New sleevers how are you doing
daniellenf replied to Joymarie333's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on 12/15, so tomorrow I will be a week out. Starting Saturday is when I really started to feel good. I just have insane gas, and can't get all my water or protein down. Oh, and I'm hungry for real food, but I'm hoping it's just head hunger that will go away. -
I was sleeved on 12/15 here in MD. The first day was so hard.. I was oit of surgery by 12:30, but in recovery until almost 5 because my vitals were low and I was in so much pain. I had a bad response to the anesthesia. I hardly remember anyone being there that day. Wednesday was a littlw easier, but still was in a lot of pain. Came home that night and thought I was dying. Thursday was bad too but yesterday was good and today was... great! I was able to clean up the house, do laundry, stack the dishwasher, made dinner for the family etc. But I am hungry! Is this normal!?

I haven't been on here in forever! I was sleeved on Tuesday, 12/15. It was rough but today I felt great!

I had my surgery done 12/15. Was a lot harder than I had thought. Battled with a ton of pain and nausea. Feeling much better today.

Nervous.. excited.. ready for this!
daniellenf posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I'm new here and wanted to express how I am feeling with what seems to be a great support group!!! I am only 23 years old and meeting with my surgeon on August 6th for a 4 hour long appointment. Meeting with him, behavioral analyst, program coordinator, dietician, and an exercise specialist. I am ready for this! Being overweight my entire life, and coming from a huge Italian family where food is everything, I have never been able to lose weight and keep it off. I have tried different programs (WW, Jenny Craig, Omnitrition) as well as attending a weight loss clinic and wasting thousands of dollars. The breaking point for me was going to the gym, everyday for 2 hours with my boyfriend for a year. We ate right, did the gym thing... he lost 86 lbs, and I didn't lose one. My doctor finally referred me to the surgeon after documented failed attempts. I was interested in Lap Band, but after my first info session, I am being recommended for the sleeve. Can anyone tell me about their experience? Like I said, I am excited to be comfortable with my self. Happy that I have the support from my family and friends that I do. But nervous, as this is a huge decision. -
