Just understand there is usually at least another 2 weeks of liquid after diet after surgery too. It is hard. You have to keep telling urself it's worth it and push through. Don't dwell on the hunger or what u can't have. The only positive thing to tell you is it doesn't last forever. I wish I had better for u.

Day 2 pretty miserable
MrsDixon replied to Karen Crawford Wright's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

thank you that is very appreciated ☺

I completely agree with u!!!! It doesn't just happen here. The support group for the hospital I had my surgery at is very bad about that. That's why I turned to this site. I've really learned a lot but this has been hell for me and I don't need anyone to downplay my feelings or complications! I too said I didn't do this to myself to be on a diet forever!

Thank you. I have a very hard time getting enough fluids or protein because of pain and depression. I've been in the er twice in 3 weeks for iv fluids due to dehydration. things just still look so grim in my future. I have a hard time being positive ????

Day 2 pretty miserable
MrsDixon replied to Karen Crawford Wright's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you. I'm glad I could help someone. I've been scalded on other so called support groups for being honest about my post op experiences because I say I regret doing it and would never ever recommend it to anyone. I have found more information on this app than I did during my research or was told by any dr or nutritionist. If I knew then what I know now.... -
Day 2 pretty miserable
MrsDixon replied to Karen Crawford Wright's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm a month out and am still cranky but not as sore. Week one was horrific 2 was such a slight bit better I couldn't tell. It gets a little better when u come off the liquid diet. I've cried almost every day since surgery. I hate to have such discouraging things to say but I'm being honest. I wish I found the honesty from others before surgery. I hope things get better for u as quick as possible. -
Might have something to do with intubation during surgery.

What did your breast's do?
MrsDixon replied to meyouus's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Mine have been big my whole life but always saggy, they just had volume. I'm 4 weeks post op and they started flattening out after about a week I've lost 27lbs and 3 inches has come from there ???? as for the people I personally know that have done this they have had implants done around a year out. -
They say u should never it rice because it expands in the stomach. Also there are some sweets that are sugar free candies that kill my cravings u just have to check that section in the store. I'm losing slow too but I'm never hydrated enough nor do I get enough protein because I have so much pain when I eat or drink. The more protein u take in the better. If u don't get enough protein ur body goes into starvation mode and stores fat.

1 week post op and feeling blue
MrsDixon replied to tiffanyt's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been miserable since surgery, have had multiple complications and regret it every day. I'm in my 5th week. Its tougher for some than others but they say normally that only lasts a couple weeks. The 3rd week is hard for some because of what they call the 3rd week stall. Just keep ur head up and it'll get better soon ???? -
You have to go to the desktop site and do it.

I was told we aren't supposed to try for at least 18 months which is very discouraging ????
