    Catheter

My doc was a beast too. No gas pain at all. I love that man! His staff is awesome too!!! He was so cute, my first post op visit when I told him everything from post op was absolutely perfect, no pain, no nausea, he patted himself on the back hahaha. We all just laughed.

    Catheter

My doc asked me to go empty my bladder right before surgery so they didn't have to do a cath.

    Pre op diet.

My pre op was a liquid diet. I could have up to five protein shakes, broth, sugar free Popsicles, water, hmmm... I'm thinking...... that's about it. Oh ya anything sugar free.

    New Whey Protein Shots

I bought new whey at Walmart. They smelled so bad. Ugh. My doc said pour some in Water and squeeze lemon in it or put sugar free syrup, but do whatever it takes to drink it. Lots of Protein. I haven't done that yet haha. If you could break that into three times a day, man that 42 g of protein. I'm sure with Splenda or something added it would be tolerable. I did isopure drinks on my two week post op clear liquid diet. I would rather stick needles in my eyes than to drink another one of those EVER.
  5. @fattymcfatser I am so proud of you! Can you imagine what it will be like in a year? I have been wondering about how you were doing. Great news!!!
  6. First of all, congrats on your surgery and weight loss!! Great job! secondly, @innersurfergirl is gonna get you Hahahaha. 15 pounds in three weeks? That is five a week. That is great!!!!!!! It will come off.
  7. @@OKCPirate I'm sorry to hear about the struggles. I have so much respect for you for taking such great care of your kiddos. I can't imagine how touch it must have been to do all you did. You are a good man!! My sister is suicidal. I say is because she has tried it, has since gotten a lot better, but I am not fooled into thinking it will never happen again. You said you thought your ex wife could have BPD. Did she have a traumatic childhood? I am just curious. I have always had a strong interest in mental disorders, thus, majoring in psychology, then changing it to a minor and certification to teach it. I am just thrilled that you are truly happy now.

NSV: Hit the Spa, fully NUDE

@@NewSetOfCurves what a thrill for you! Your story made me laugh. I could just picture it in my mind. I love what he said to you to relax you. Also, I want to tell you that you are a huge motivator for me. Before I had kids, my oldest will be 21 next month, I was in tip top shape. I played racquetball since I was 18, played tournaments in a couple of states competitively for money. Don't get excited, I only won a little money haha. Money brought out the best players, even the pros. There were years I played seven days a week. Every muscle in my body was solid. Man how I miss that. You motivate me to get to the gym and get after it. I have done some walking but that's it. I wanna start weights too. I wish you could reach through my phone and shake your finger at me and get my ass in gear! You look absolutely wonderful and congrats on your hard, hard, work. I have gotten massages for years. I LOVE them. My shoulders are as tight as tight can be and I have been told that many times. Being nude didn't bother me cuz I enjoyed my massage so much. I didn't care. I am a member of the Y here and love to hot tub. I go naked, however I am the only woman who does usually. There is normally only one or two women there, if that many. I knew I needed to lose weight and I knew hot tubs are meant to be used naked. ALL the men are naked always. It just never bothered me. I am 7 weeks post op and have lost 33 lbs. the only reason I am skeptical now is that my stomach scars look really purple now. Who knows if I'll even go soon. Maybe I'll try on my suit and be like them haha Thank you for the story. You make me want to go to the gym right now!!!!!!
  9. Thank you so much for taking the time to share. I have taken screenshots!
  10. @@sbg224 I am so excited for you! I did it not too long ago. I remember seeing those numbers and being so very thrilled! I am very happy for you. I have had an ACL reconstruction and a partial knee replacement. Both times in rehab the therapist had me on the stationary bike to work on range of motion. Do you do that? I know both times I actually lost weight and I think it was the bike that did it. How is your knee by the way? Seems you are still having some pain. My aunt had one a few months ago and on day four, she answered her door with no crutches. She hadn't been on them except for one or two days, if that. Shocked me? I was on them a while if I remember correctly. Rehab has really advanced. Were you on crutches? Good luck with everything!!!

    CRAZY Hair Loss!

Geez. That is a big concern of mine. Hope if it does happen, it's not horrible. I lost quite a bit when I used voltaren on my neck. It is not approved for neck and spine but I have major neck issues and it made my tingling stop. I know. Not the best decision of mine. I don't want to lose anymore. Oh well. So be it if it does.

  17. @@Dub my hubby tries that too, hahaha great try!!
  18. @@Babbs go schedule yours!!!!! you so deserve it @innsurfergirl i have said the exact same thing, except when i am rich, they will come to my house and do my massage once a week. i cannot wait for that day haha congrats, in advance, on your next milestone!!!!!!! great job!
  19. since i was to be on a clear liquid diet for 2 weeks post op, i bought a few bottles of Isopure, canned broth, and some sugar free popsicles. i had no pain to speak of really and had no issues, so there is nothing else i wish i had done. i was able to get up and do everything for myself without a problem. my bed is one that you can adjust to sit up in so i stayed there for several days. i kept my Water on my nightstand. i watched a lot of tv and got up and walked around the house quite a bit.

    Are you excited about 2016?

HELL to the YA!!!!! my surgery was november 17 and since the beginning of the process i am down 31 pounds. wish it were more....im stuck right now, but i know it will move right along. this is the year i get skinny!!!!!! i am so very excited. excited to be skinny and get to compete in racquetball again. i want to start playing tournaments again. i want to whip this girls ass who beat me two years in a row about 3 years ago. i will be much smaller than her and i will OWN her LOL!!!! losing is not my forte, unless it is weight

Gotta get this off my chest ...

It definitely was a compliment. Many people are not well versed and it is a huge thing that the knuckle draggers actually thought to give a compliment. I'm sure they meant well and maybe that was the best they could do. @@Dub I love that you are a knuckle dragger too. Geez that made me laugh.
  23. what exactly can you have on your pre op diet?

    Aetna TRS

i have aetna TRS. my email address is midlandrhonda@gmail.com if you email me, i can send you the policy document that i used stating the requirements. i had a choice of a 6 month diet, etc, or a 3 month pre surgery regimen. i chose the latter. it seems overwhelming, but it's not. most of that is handled through the nutritionist. do you have a $5000 bariatric surgery co pay? i did. the doc i chose, whose is absolutely incredible, and his office staff, only made me pay $2000 of that.
