I have no choice other then RNY due to my health issues but my doctor has said it is more invasive and harder on your body with a longer recovery time over the sleeve. With that being said you know your pain tolerance and what you can handle. -

We are a day apart on both our surgery date and our liquid diet. I'm sure I won't feel the same on the second or third day of the preop diet but I can't wait to get started... I guess because that means just two weeks to the start of my new life! -

Great idea taking the picture. I am cleaning out my pantry of anything I can't have and put in only things I can have. I just took a picture and sent it to a friend. Let's just say it looks depressing haha. Hopefully I will get some ideas from your stash. -
I had to help my husband take his out after a surgery several years ago. I couldn't believe how far it was put in and how much effort it took to remove it. I thought it would just slide out.... Wrong.

Great question! I don't eat seafood but can tolerate tuna salad. I fear a life of only having chicken after surgery. Hopefully I am one of the people who experienced a change in taste buds.

Great question as I was wondering the same thing. I plan to ask if it will for sure be laparoscopic since he is doing hernia repair at the same time. My surgeons office does an all day pre surgery info prior to surgery as far as nutrition and such.

I had that test as well and it's HORRIBLE. So sorry you had to go through that. It seems like there should be a better way. I know I hope I NEVER have to do that test again.

Mine was partial. I was not put out but they gave me something that made me unaware of what was going on and no memory of it either. -
What Protein supplies are my September friends sticking up on? I bought some Syntrax nectar Isopure. I am clearing out a kitchen cabinet that will be "mine". I don't want to get my protein and such from the same place cabinet that has poptarts and such. I just ordered some Popsicle molds and sugar free Torani syrup....Pinterest has lots of great ideas for Protein Drink recipes.

Lol. The above response was funny. Actually I have wondered the daily carb and sugar limit. I don't got for my pre surgery nutrition info until Sept 3rd. I was hoping to do some meal planning.

I have extreme reflux and the only thing that works for me is a prescription called Dexilant. My insurance doesn't cover it though so I pay out of pocket. I can't wait to get my bypass on September 22nd as I have heard the reflux could be 100% gone. -
Just got scheduled for bypass and hernia repair on Sept 22! Let the count down begin!
