Pre-surgery - Emotionally STUCK!
Knitchic replied to bhopeful's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I too am sidetracked by the upcoming surgery on the 22nd. I am typically very hard working and dedicated, however, these days I can't seem to focus on anything but this surgery. I'm not worried about it. I fully understand everything involved but I can't stop thinking about it. -
5k 10 days after surgery?
Knitchic replied to Maria Kae Smith's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Great thread as my husband just asked tonight on our evening walk how much I should be walking after surgery. -
I get Botox a couple times a year and love it. It feels like a sweat bee sting. Just kind of a like annoying poke. No pain really. You have red spots for a few hours and that's pretty much it. The total effect take a about a week. Besides its amazing work on wrinkles it will pretty much resolve any migraine issues too.

You look amazing. I can tell a huge difference in your arms and shoulders. Keep up the great work. I hope I look this great. -
Hi there. You're right the diet isn't easy for sure. unjury Protein is really good and they make a chicken Soup flavor that is actually pretty good. It makes you feel like you get something salty. I was allowed sugar free Jello and sugar free Popsicles. Those really help. I will say days 4 and 5 were awful. I think I was having sugar withdrawal. Once that passed I have been ok. I still get hungry if I wait to long between meals but all in all it really does get easier. Ps the chocolate Unjury power is amazing! If you put it in the freezer it's almost like a thin Frosty from Wendy's. Good luck.

Order some Unjury protein. The chocolate is amazing.

Hi there. I have surgery on the 22nd also!!!! What type are you having? I should add that I am jealous that you have a short pre op diet. I have been on it almost two weeks now.

Sept 22nd surgery- pre op diet today
Knitchic posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have read posts from others about getting nervous. I didn't understand until this afternoon. As I sat drinking my unjury chicken broth for lunch it hit me that I am really in pre op now. Holy cow let the fun begin! -
Great job Karl!!!

Oh how I miss my diet cokes. I had stopped them prior to the pre-op diet but found I had a horrible sugar withdrawal headache. It stuck around for two days. Once it passed I have been great.

I have been wondering the exact same thing!

Sept 22nd surgery- pre op diet today

@theonltwayla it really does get easier but man I would love just a bit of something crunchy. My mood really improved after day 4. I'm not that hungry anymore although I do claim to be starving at times its more so wanting something to eat besides broth and Protein shakes. You're right, you got this! -
The beginning of the pre op diet is the worst. On day 2 1/2 I thought I wanted to cry because I was so hungry. Then on days 3 and 4 I had the WORST headache. Day 5 was a magical and wonderful day. I woke up to no headache and no longer seemed hungry. From there it really does get easier. We all mess up a bit. I was at an event over the weekend and decided to just carry a glass of wine around so people would stop offering. It seemed like a good plan but twice I found myself sipping it. I felt guilty but it tasted so good haha. Just try to stay focused and not be too hard on yourself. These are life long habits we have created and they can't be changed instantly.

Welcome! This is an exciting time for sure. My surgery date is 9/22. The Bariatric Pal site is amazing. So many helpful people all on a similar journey. Please keep us all posted!

I actually really like the Unjury chicken soup too. I mix it with chicken broth or water. It makes me feel like I am actually getting food of some sort. -
The 3rd and 4th day are the worst. Drink some water or even an ice tea. It will get better.
