Doesn't Crystal Light have Aspartame in it? I will have to be careful with the sugar free stuff because I cant have Aspartame. Gives me migraines. -
I have only jeans, slacks, etc. Should I get a couple of sun dresses that don't have a band around my tummy like most pants do? Suggestions please! I want to be prepared.

Pre-Surgery Tests
theatrejo replied to choosehope's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My Dr has found that he has less problems with his patients having really bad Acid Reflux/Indigestion if he does the Scope Pre-Op to look for any hiatal hernias. If there is one there, he fixes it while he is doing the Gastric Surgery. -
Need snack/meal ideas for work at 2-6 weeks post op

I need to go shopping and make sure I have the appropriate things at work and home on hand. any suggestions? What worked for you? -
My sister in law had the sleeve but has never had a cesarean. When I told her I was going to work after 5 days (My surgery hasn't happened yet), she said I didn't understand how painful it would be and that I would have to be down for over two weeks. My Dr assured me that is not the case. So, input? I thought that if I can get through the pain of 3 CSections, that I would be able to handle the pain of the sleeve laproscopically. I know it will hurt. Im not saying it wont. (I was up after my 3rd CSection after 5 hours, walking. And I went back to work after 2 weeks.)

theatrejo replied to theatrejo's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
just a thought/suggestion........ maybe you could take 3 full days off then take 1/2 days for the remaining of you time off (couple of days would be stretched out into 4 days) surgery beginning of september?? kathy ----Surgery is Aug 20th. I wish it were tomorrow! Thats a good idea about work. Perhaps I will see how I feel and if I need to take a half day for a while, then I will. -
Sleeve Pain vs Cesarean Pain
theatrejo replied to theatrejo's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
The problem is that I am unable financially to take off any time. A week is all I have and if I don't work, the kids don't eat. I wish it were different. I hear you guys and will def. listen to my body. If I just can't work, then I wont but I don't know what that will do to us financially. I just pray I will be ok. My Dr said to set a timer on my phone for every 10-15 min to remind myself to drink. I'm going to see if that helps. And I was thinking of getting a container that will have all of my Water in it so I know how much I have left to drink for the day. Thanks for all the tips. I need you guys!! -
Sleeve Pain vs Cesarean Pain
theatrejo replied to theatrejo's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have a lot of freedom at my job. It doesn't require any strenuous activity, I can walk when I need to, eat when I want, take breaks when I want to, So I am thankfully in a very good position for this. I will take it easy and go home if I need to on my first days back. I think I will be ok because I have a high threshold for pain, but I will listen to my body. They know I am having surgery so if I need anything they will accommodate. -
How much Water in OZ are we supposed to drink daily?

Any August Sleevers?
theatrejo replied to DrewzWife's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
hair loss? Really? Seems like that would only happen if they weren't getting enough vitamins/nutrients. Thoughts? I will have to bring this up with my Dr. I have a friend who did the BYPASS and wished she had done the sleeve instead. -
Hello! I am new here. I will be having my Pre-Op on Aug 10th, and then my Surgery on Aug 20th. I am nervous about the diet and am hoping to get ideas and recipes here and from my nutritionist. Feel free to post ideas on Snacks while working and on the go, dinner, Breakfast, shake ideas.... Aaaaand GO!.....

Any August Sleevers?
theatrejo replied to DrewzWife's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Aug 20th! Can't wait. Nervous about failing at this. Anyone else have that anxiety? I'm getting the sleeve. Self Pay and I am nervous about the expense too! It will put us in a pinch for sure, but I really need my health to get better. I will be off for 2 days from work. Getting surgery on a Thursday, back to work on Monday. The Dr will write me a note to be off work for 2 WEEKS, but I have to work to pay for the surgery. Thank God its Laproscopic! Down time is much less. -
My surgery is Aug 20th! Getting excited!!!
