My doc actually recommended egg drop soup while on my pre-op diet, so I would say you are perfectly fine in having it. I ate egg drop soup multiple times a week and still dropped 16 lbs before surgery and had no issues with a large liver.

@@ylluz I am doing well and am currently on creamed Soups and just started some soft foods. @@nomorechubbybutt63 I was thinking apps sounded a lot more appealing than kids meals anyway haha -
I hurt the restaurants feeling...
TXTinana replied to nomorechubbybutt63's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Also, did everyone get a bariatric surgery card to provide to restaurants in order to be able to order from a children's menu or smaller portioned menu? And if so, did it actually work for you? I am not quite to the point of trying to use it yet, but just curious. -
I hurt the restaurants feeling...
TXTinana replied to nomorechubbybutt63's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This happened to me for the first time this weekend. I went to eat with a friend and just ordered Soup which I made only a slight dent in. When I asked for a to-go container she asked me if the soup was warm enough, would I like a fresh bowl, and so I explained to her that I had just had surgery. She was super understanding and even had some questions for herself as she was interested in having it done. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Plus, that soup was still delicious the 3rd time I heated it up! -
I am also having the same issue with a 30 minute lunch, and a job that doesn't allow food at your desk

Return to work after one week?
TXTinana replied to sdsdownes's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my surgery last Monday and went back to work this Monday with no issues. Everyone is different though. I honestly think that getting up and out of the house has done me good in my recovery. I have not had any pain or fatigue. -
How long before you could go back to work?
TXTinana replied to More than this's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went back to work this week after 1 week post-op. I have been fine throughout the week. No real fatigue or brain fog. It feels good to be out of the house and moving around. I really feel that has aided me in my recovery. -

how much are you eating after 1 month?
TXTinana replied to roxy79's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Uh, yes! Liquid goes through. When you eat something with just a little weight to it, you will be shocked! So true!!! I can drink and drink, but this week I started adding creamy Soups to my diet. Twice now I have had broccoli cheddar Soup and after about 4 small "bites" I am DONE! -
1 month since pre-op diet started, 9 days post-op and I've already been able to put my wedding ring back on without having to oil up my finger. It is now sliding off and on with ease! This morning's NSV was slipping on a pair of size 24 pants (not struggling with buttons or zipper), down from a 28!!!

Sorry to hear that @@Margie122 Hope you are feeling better. Today has been day 2 back to work and today is the first day where other than having to sip, I actually forget about the surgery for a little while. No real pain or constant reminder today. Things seem to be moving along pretty well. As of this morning, down 30 lbs from the time of my pre-op diet to this point. 14 lbs down since surgery 8 days ago! -

I started on yogurt today. Kroger has a brand called Carbmaster which is pretty decent tasting. Out of about a 6 oz cup I've only been able to down about 2 oz. Still, feels good to be able to add a little of variety to my diet. So far it has sat pretty well in my sleeve. I also get to add creamy soups and have nice broccoli cheddar soup waiting at home I can try tonight. I had to take the stairs a few times at work today and that also has not been too bad. So far a decent day. -
I also second theworldaccordingtoeggface blog! I have a bunch of ideas saved from there. She also has some great ideas on how to pack a lunch for work. Also, PINTEREST!

Have any of you sleevers gone to Mexico to have your surgery?

Glad I found this. I will be going to a Japanese restaurant for a friend's welcome home party at the end of my 3rd week. I've been pondering what exactly I could try as I know I will be tired of Soup. I was thinking tuna or salmon may be the way to go.

Sugarless gum or mints ?
TXTinana replied to shellyd67's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@shellyd67 I feel your pain. Even with brushing and rinsing I still have this nasty taste in my mouth since surgery and feel my breath is just kickin'. My surgeon unfortunately said gum needs to wait about a month. His reasoning was that a lot of air is taken in when chewing that can lead to gas pressure. -
How long off work did you have?
TXTinana replied to Melbournegirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 7 days out today and it is my first morning here back at work. I have an office job with minimal physical duty so I feel confident I should be fine. I think if you have a similar job situation you will be fine with only a week off of work. I felt rejuvenated about 4 days post surgery and have been fine since then.
