    Any August Sleevers?

My surgery is delayed, I was supposed to have surgery August 12th. I tested positive for h-pylori and am on 3 high powered antibiotics. Anyone has this before? I had absolutely no symptoms.

My exact thoughts. Myfitnesspal is only good for a few select things for bariatric patients

    Gallbladder

The gallbladder is pretty much a useless organ. If I can prevent the pain of having it go bad, I'm all for having it removed. Those who've experienced the pain said it's worse than having a kidney stone. I've had one of those and I thought I was literally dying lol.

I was wondering too. I have my consult next Friday (July 24th) and I'm going to ask him if he could take it out. There is nothing wrong with it, but I've heard soooo many people having a lot of issues after W.L.S. My uncle had the gastric bypass and told me to be sure to ask if it could be taken out because he had to undergo another surgery to remove his after his bypass. He said if you can prevent the horrible and agonizing pain, it is sooooo worth it.

    Aetna H.M.O

Msgal2181: Thank you for the kind words. I will be scheduling my consult with a highly recommended bariatric surgeon here in my area. My husband and I agreed to go ahead and pay cash for it rather than switching insurances to one that we aren't comfortable with. This has been the only road block with our insurance we have ever faced. It has been great for us and our kids. I'm blessed to be able to pay for the surgery in cash as I know many aren't able to. Now I'm wondering what the wait time will be prior to surgery since I don't have to worry about the insurance requirements. So I will count my blessings there. Again, thank you for your kindness.

    Aetna H.M.O

And by the way, I have been in the gym 5-6 days per week for the past 3 years with little to no results. As soon as I had my hysterectomy, my body has suffered severe consequences and one of those is the inability to lose weight. I have not gained weight, I have maintained my current weight going on 4 years now.

First off, I know the hard work it takes. I'm not lazy in the least bit and I darn sure will work hard for what I want to try my best to succeed. But when your insurance doesn't cover it, there are no other options other than paying cash for it. Which is what I will have to do at this point. I did not want to pull from my savings, but it looks like I have no other choice. It's sad that insurances won't cover a procedure to help a person stay healthy.
