No one can make the choice for you on whether or not surgery is a good idea. Also anyone who is willing to leave you over you wanting to get healthy should not be with you. Good job on staying active and having goals. its a major surgery so being afraid to take the step is completely normal. but make sure you are sure you are able to make the life changes. Good luck and if you need a surgery buddy let me know mine is august 6th. -
most military facilities make you attend a MOVE program where you go once a week for a weigh in for six months. Also if I were you I would think very hard about whether or not you really want to have it done there. I was in the Military and had to have surgery twice and they nearly killed me both times.

My doctor said that those were the best options. she said that the pill wont work but I have PCOS so birth conrol serves no purpose for me, plus im not married and the horizontal dance does not appeal to me so i guess abstinence is the best lol . But you should be ok with your IUD and condoms

My co worker is a avid workout freak and he bought a Water bottle that has 32 oz of water in it. he drinks 2 a day during work and more while he woks out. half the time he doesn't even notice hes done it. You can do it hun keep trying. -
Did anyone feel as if they were losing their hair before surgery like with the pre op diet

19 days till surgery. OMG some one please tell me the process once i arrive at the hospital. I know not every hospital is the same but can you share your experience?

Im 5'3 also, but can't stand recliners as they don't fit me well. I need to lay flat to sleep, so I slept very well on the couch for 3 days. I needed help getting on and off the couch for the 1st 2 days, ( you will need someone there to help with EVERYTHING ) then was able to manage by myself. After that, no problems !!!

wow reading some of these post actually make me not want to post here. If you find a question to be stupid simply don't answer it. Some people actually don't know or they have a very crappy NUT that isn't really helping them be realistic. Others haven't come to the conclusion that weight loss surgery isn't magic yet. oh and BTW 20 year olds arent all immature. If you consider yourself a "veteran" try actually helping instead of belittling people. try to remember how people were towards you when you were first starting -

Hello, So I've been reading a lot of the post on here and I haven't posted anything myself just because I wasn't sure if it was even going to happen but I finally got my surgery date yesterday yay!!! My surgeon is requiring me to be on a liquid diet from now until my surgery date. Does anyone know if its possible to lose 15 pounds before August 6th??
