My name is Tess, I had been wanting the sleeve for quite a while due to insurance I had to wait, finally got all the red tape out of the way, did a lot of research, got a lot of personal testimonies from friends who have had the procedure & got up the nerve to start the process. I started the end of April with Dr Nicholson & on July 6 I was sleeved! My surgery - I couldn't have asked for anything better- best experience I have ever had from the staff to the support, up walking, easy drinking, made it home the same day. The next day was pretty much the same I couldn't believe how good I was doing then came THE third DAY, holy cow I strained too hard & BAM felt like insides were ripping apart, at that point I began to question my decision much like many people. I searched bariatricpal night & day, although my pain was incomparable to anything I had ever known I found so many comforting stories similar to mine. I realized eventually I wasn't dying & that I would somehow survive. I'm 11 days out I have lost 20 lbs, overall besides the pain on the left side which is getting better everyday I feel like a new person. I have noticed a lot of changes, my incontinence is gone, possibly bc I'm slightly dehydrated BUT hey I will take it, my knees don't ache, I don't limp, at least ONE of my chins has disappeared, I feel more internally balanced, do I miss chips & salsa OH LAWD YES but I think the new me is going to be even better! Thanks for all the people who post you have helped me make it through thus far!
