Yes!! Please make sure that you are drinking fluids. It is extremely important !
-
I'll try that as well...
-
I just put it on a spoon and eat it. It's a source of protein.

You may just have to re-introduce chicken within a few weeks if it gives you too much trouble. Ohhh make sure the chicken is moist.

I have my days where I don't want to eat or drink anything, but I know I have to. They said it gets easier. I have my days where I'm an emotional roller coaster, but at the same time I know I did this to change my life. It's a bumpy ride... But hey no pain.. No gain... Success is a stairwell and not a door way...

Are you trying different types of chicken? I had grilled chicken from KFC and I did pretty well with it. I was a little dehydrated so I had to get me some Pedialyte to drink. It does not have to be chicken try a different type of meat that has a lot of protein in it. What about yogourt? Peanut butter?

What made u decide to do the surgery
IamKe69 replied to bring's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I decided to have surgery to get my life back. I want to be able to enjoy life and be able to do things. I'm 25yrs old and I had high cholesterol and sleep apnea. I had tried several mechanisms to loose weight while some worked and others didn't. I want to be able to have a family and with my weight I wouldn't have been able to become fertile to have children. I don't want my selfishness to be the reasons. I want to be able to run and play with my nieces and nephews. When we go to Carowinds they want me to ride with them, but I can't because I can't fit on the rides. Another thing that is embarrassing is that when you can't fit into a chair because you're to big. I had to use two seat belts for the plane which is extremely embarrassing. When you can even put the arm rest down because it digs in your thigh. I'm just too young for this. It was time for me to grab ahold of my life and do it with full force. You only get one chance to live. Yes I come from a family of obese individuals who just eat to be eating. I dare to be different and I'm going to get through this. Although there have been people along the way to say different things. I just ignore them and keep going o have to do what's best for my health and that's all that matters. Pre-op Weight:388 Surgery day:379 Two week post-op:357 So far I have lost 31lbs and pushing forward. -
That's true.. I shopped at Lane Bryant for my clothes. I would occasionally shop at side stores such as rainbow and city trends, but most of the things from the side stores would just tear up within the first few times of me wearing them. As a plus size woman clothes are expensive. You get what you pay for. I'm spending $60+ for a pair of jeans.

What is a fit bit?

Are you able to tolerate more food now since you are farther out? I'm not even a month out yet and sometimes I feel like I don't want to eat and drink anything. I force myself to do so. I don't want to end of in the hospital.

That's great!! I'm glad your feeling better. I am not drinking enough fluids. Which cause my heart rate to elevate. I am now drinking Pedialyte to help restore my electrolytes. So yes ma'am having the proper fluid intake is important.

I hope you feel better soon. I am glad they found out what was going on. Did he or she say that a particular food was getting stuck?

I had my two week post-op check up Wednesday and I lost 31 so far. That's including my pre-op weight which was 388 and my current weight is 357.... My incisions are healing perfectly and my doctor said that Ian doing great. I still have pain from time to time with one of my incisions which is the larger one that is right above my rib cage.

He is great you'll love him. He was my surgeon. He is also the chief of the bariatrics department. He answers any questions that you may have. He does what's in the best interest for you and your health. I'm two weeks out and from my pre-op weight I have lost 31lbs so far. He will also make sure that you understand everything prior to surgery. He's great. I have no complaints with him. The nurse is always there if you have any questions. -
I would just take it slow and try different things to see what works for you. Do you still drink the protein shakes?
-
The baked beans that I had I eliminated a lot from the so they weren't that sweet. Are you chewing your food good? When I had surgery I was 379.. At one point my highest weight was 395. Before I had surgery I had to go on a two two week high protein, low carb diet. I haven't gotten on the scale since surgery, but I will tomorrow when I go to my two-week post-op follow up. How about you?

Be strong you can get through it. I had my surgery on June 29. Although I have been able to tolerate foods. My emotions have been all over the place as well. I had regrets, but I also had to pray and realize that this was the best decision for my life. You can do it. Where are you located? Hello hun I'm from PA. I do believe that in the long run this is the best. What types of things are you eating. And how much. I can not tolerate chicken... Tuna is OK. And egg whites r OK. Cream of wheat is OK too. But we shouldn't have that. I have eaten mash potatoes, baked Beans, livermush, thin grits, and eggs, I have eaten tuna, and tonight o had chicken salad. I have also had yogurt, cheese, and a piece of turkey meat, apple sauce. I don't have much when I eat because I don't want to waste food. Just a little bit to see if I can handle it. My doctor had me on a liquid diet for a week, then puréed for a week, then soft food for two week, and then a normal diet. Right now I'm on the soft diet.

How are you feeling so far?
-
I had a Gastric Bypass as well... Since I was on the puréed stage of my diet I was able to tolerate eggs. I use to be able to eat 2-3 eggs, but now I'm lucky if I finish the entire egg. I am on the soft diet now and last night I ate scramble eggs, thin grits, and a half piece of liver mush. I tolerated it well. I still took my time to make sure that I was chewing everything good as well.
