    Low energy

Are you taking Iron? If not try adding Iron to your supplements. Also do you have sleep Apnea? You may need to adjust your titration level. If you're hitting your Protein target I wouldn't worry about calories either. I struggled with fatigue as well, adding the iron really helped. Ask your dr to do a Vitamin level blood test. It will let you know where you stand and what you're lacking. My iron was really low to the point of almost needing an infusion. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  4. Dumping for most is a sudden onset of diarrhea, sweats and exhaustion. I've had it twice.. Once from eating cream of crab Soup and once from drinking a little bit of a milk shake Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. You can take every supplement under the sun and still have hair loss. Stalls do get discouraging. When I get like that I look at what I've lost in the time frame that I've lost it in. Can I really say 70 lbs in 6 months is a stall? I don't think so and then realize my goal weight isn't going to happen over night. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

800 calories ? IS IT ENOUGH?

My calorie intake is 600-800 as well and I'm 6 months out The constipation comes and goes with me. My nut told me to add a probiotic to my meds along with making sure I get all my fluids in. It does help. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Grocery run! Essentials?!

Powerade zero was my go to, although I do like G2 fierce grape. If you have a sonic nearby get a bag of their ice. I loved it post-op. I also loved my Yeti tumbler. That combined with the ice kept my drinks cold for hours. It made all the sipping much easier. Get some sugar free ice pops as well. I wouldn't overload on stuff. Your taste buds will change and things you loved pre op you may not care for after. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. I'm 5 lbs from my Drs goal and I've had several people tell me that I don't need to lose anymore. I personally want to lose more than the goal I've set but how will I look? I guess there isn't any real answer to my question.. But geez I never thought I'd have losing too much be a concern or even a possibility. PS..why don't people with thoughts about "my" weight kept their mouth shut? I want to say...did I ask you if I've lost enough? Ugh Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Hunger growls

6 weeks, you're eating regular food, are you taking a PPI? It could be acid causing you to feel hungry or dehydration. Or that dreaded thing called head hunger. Eat some Protein or have a Protein shake to see if it goes away. If it doesn't than it's most likely not true hunger. My stomach sounds like fireworks sometimes but I know it's not hungry. It's been loud enough to startle my dog lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  16. Missed the last question. I can do everything my family is doing. I no longer have to sit on the sideline because I'm too big, too embarrassed or too tired
  17. High cholesterol, high blood pressure, pcos, pre diabetes, obesity & sleep apnea. I was never dx with fatty liver disease but that goes hand in hand with obesity most of the time. My blood pressure has been on the low side, I've been taken off 3 of my 4 meds My sugar level is normal now My cholesterol is normal now.. My body produced bad cholesterol before. I was going to be on meds forever. I am no longer obese I sleep without my machine, my snoring is minimal and I no longer stop breathing My cycles are normal but I still have the pesky facial hair. I'm 6 months post op

    Calories

It's a little different not having the access to a Nut. My minimum calorie intake is 600 and my max amount of calories is 800. She said that if I go over that I will stop losing. Most important thing is to reach the Protein and liquid goals. If you're exercising regularly shoot for 100gr of protein and +64oz of liquid. Get my fitnespal or something like it to keep track of your liquid and protein intake. If you don't have a smart phone you can access MFP from their website. 19. I didn't have to wait. I just had to bring my tubing and mask to the hospital.
  20. @VGSAnn2014 Thank you. Even at my Drs goal of 140 I'm still in the ow category. That's why my goal is less but I sit here at look down at this belly and think there's no way that's 5 or 10 lbs left to go. I realize that I am only 6 months post op and this is a new way of life that needs a constant commitment from me. If and when that day comes that I have gained some back that I can regroup, kick myself in the Arse and get back to work. Thank you and it's time to put ear plugs in for all the unwelcome comments and advise for the "You're too skinny crowd" Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Sleeved july 12 eating

Protein and Fluid should be your main goal. When looking at what you're eating it appears to be a lot but How much of it are you consuming? Meals shouldn't take longer than 30 mins to eat. I could only get down my protein shake and a 1/2 of banana (if the banana was in the shake). 1/4-1/2 cup of soup and maybe a couple tbs of Beans. Volume is a big deal. If you're eating regular pre-op portions then yes you could be eating too much. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Messed up TOM?

I definitely would use a second form of Bc because your hormones will fluctuate and could be completely out of whack for a while. If there is a chance you could be pregnant by all means make sure that isn't it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. Some of you may remember me asking about running after surgery. If not, my husband is a runner, runs ultra "insane" marathons. I want nothing to be able to run with him. Now that my weight is down (almost 70lbs) I thought I'd try a little. I've been walking but haven't really pushed myself till now. This is my progress over the last 3 days. Shew, I may be feeling it by the end of the week. This is Monday, Tuesday and today's distance and time. I'm increasing the pace and distance by 1/4 mile each day. I'M SO HUNGRY!

@@reddy4chng Going without Protein isn't an option. You have to force it down if you want to or not, if you feel hungry or not. Keep in mind Protein shakes count toward your liquid intake for the day with most Drs. As well as Yogurt, Jello and anything else that turns to liquid at body temp.
