  1. I don't know yet. I should know next week at my pre op appt.
  2. gemini0621 I live in West Houston area too. I am scheduled for surgery on Sept 30th with True Results. A good chewable acid reducer is Pepcid Complete. I think Walgreen, CVS, Target & Walmart have their generic versions.

    True Results !

I finally got scheduled for surgery for Sept 30th. I have been taking the acid medicine they gave me but its not really helping the acid reflux. Anyways, I am excited and scared about the surgery.

    BCBSIL Hernia Surgery

Did you ever find out from True Results about the cost for your endoscopy? I am going through them for gastric sleeve surgery and getting it done through having a hiatal hernia as well. I got a similar bill for the Endoscopy. Do they expect us to pay that??

Also, I don't think I have h pylori. At least they did not say I tested positive for it.

    True Results !

When I had the EGD done The photos showed I had redness and irritation. They removed a polyp from my stomach. I am just scared my surgery won't get approved.

    True Results !

I have been working with True Results in Houston. I am getting surgery under the HH plan they offer. I got my blood work and EGD done. I have a small hiatal hernia. I was cleared for surgery and then I got a call today that True Results now has a new requirement for the surgery under the HH plan. They require that patients be on prescription heartburn medication prior to surgery. So I have to go on heartburn meds and have a follow up with the surgeon before they will clear me for surgery. Apparently insurance companies have been denying claims because patients were not on prescription heartburn meds prior to surgery. I am so frustrated! I have taken OTC Prilosec and other OTC acid reflux meds and my heartburn and acid reflux never goes away. Ugh! This is my first time posting to this forum. I am looking at getting gastric sleeve done the end of September. I have about 120 lbs to lose. I have type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and severe sleep apnea. I need this surgery! So frustrated!
