    Driving after surgery

Wow Kindle !! My hats off to you I tried to drive 8 days later. I was so in a hurry to get home and lay down. It was still uncomfortable for me. Still a little sore.
  4. My nausea lasted about three days after I came home. Also I got nausea from trying to eat something I wasn't ready for. I was just thinking about it. I tried to eat it and nausea, set in. Other than that I'm fine.
  5. Hi ! I was sleeved on 7-8 it took me up until day 6 to finally use the restoom.I took an equate brand over the counter laxative. I had the light head stage too. I had to sit on the side of the bed. After sitting up then I would stand up. I just couldn't get up. I got up sit on side of the bed a min or two then stand up. I had that same little pressure below my incision. It got so bad I called the doctor. It felt like a nagging burning type pain. He told me to take my pain medication and rest. The incision they pulled the rest of what they took out usally its your longest incision. He said it sometime will feel that way. He suggested me relax and take pain medication. I did and about 3 days later I no longer feel that same pain I'm healing inside pretty well I guess. I do how ever when I sit up feel a little sore still. It's gets better... wishing you the best.
  6. I'm ok still sore. I have this burning around one incision. On my left side especially when I cough.

    New to the forum

Hi everyone! My journey began when I was going to the doctor and it was constantly another medication. I've battled with my thyroid and weight all of my life but I think one day I woke up there were high blood pressure, Arthritis medications, at the age of 24 after having my second child I got down to where I couldn't walk. I couldn't take care of my self. God and my best friend took care of me during those times I was only twenty four years old. I changed some major eating habits it helped me get down from 315 to 245. I got here and go stuck. I can walk, and take care of myself but the straw was in September when the doctor put me on diabetic medication. I refuse to live my life at 35 sick on 13 medication. I wanted change. I began to research the different options. I went through the class here in Little Rock @ Baptist hospital under Dr. Eric Paul whom I heard was the absolute best at doing these procedures. I listened, I liked what I heard my insurance company required lots of information so that in itself was a job . lol I think the day we finally got all the paperwork together and she called me to schedule I cried like a baby. They put me on a two week liquid diet right in the middle of the holidays. Wow! That was so hard. I messed up twice I called crying he said he was on his way to jump on me. Lol. I told the truth he said many people would never had said anything. He was still proud of me. I only lost about 8 lbs pre op. July 8th was the big day. I went in with all these mixed emotions happy and scared. That's just like me though. I'm glad I took the journey just want to see where we go from here glad this forum is here to help us along the way.
