  1. I am super new to this forum. I don't even know how to edit my profile. I have lost around 30 lbs since my pre surgery diet but now I'm at a standstill. I am 2 weeks 2 days post op and I am very compliant. ???? My numbers keep tilting from 292 to 295. I think I got the plateau blues. Although I do realize this is normal... I am also fairly emotional and really...I'm trying to not feel stressed so I can heal. Anybody else in my shoes....it's rough.

    Small Plateau Blues

Hey Kell778 ! And anyone having the same plateau blues, don't you guys worry!! I started this thread about a week ago and now that I'm eating more food for some reason I have started to lose again. So please don't lose hope. I have had the same struggles in feeling that my pouch was too big or that they didn't do the surgery right. The other day though I had a piece of turkey and forgot myself. I didn't chew it up very well and finally had the stuck feeling people have talked about. I felt like I was about to dry heave it out. Don't let this happen to you. It was very very uncomfortable. Just remember normal people don't lose pounds every day so if you're not losing every single day, don't panic, the weight will come off. Stay strong drink your water as I've said before and take time to chew your food and no grazing. Take time to eat your meal and fill your pouch. Your metabolism will rev up once it has more to work with. I promise. I'm back on the losers bench and I know you guys will join me soon. Keep it up guys! you're doing great and trust your bodies.

    Small Plateau Blues

Thank you to everyone who responded to this thread it is been so helpful. I am now back on the losers bench as I've started losing some pounds again. One thing I noticed was that these last three days I have eaten more than I've eaten since surgery and I started losing weight again so maybe metabolism has something to do with it. Everybody hang in there and you'll start losing again. Drink lots of water and keep those walks going! Remember it's not a matter of IF it's a matter of WHEN! ????

    Pain surgery 6/15/15

I am 2 weeks 2 days post op and I am having similar pain. This is totally normal. Our bodies are adjusting and the left side where most of the trauma took place is still going to be sore. Be careful to not overextend. I read this can happen for up to two weeks and then it will just go away. Give it time ... My pain is already easing up. Hope this helps. Drink water!

    Small Plateau Blues

Thank you for answering! I just didn't want to feel alone in all this. Your surgery is coming up soon! You will be just fine. Make sure to walk in the hospital and breathe. Get plenty of rest and listen to your body's cues. You will be awesome! And thank you for the encouragement...I was in need. Let me know if you have any questions.
  9. I am 2 weeks 2 days post op and feeling better already! I lost around 30 lbs since pre-surgery diet and life is already easier. Although emotions have run high lately, which I hear is pretty normal. It doesn't help that I am at a small stall with my weight. Tilting between 292 and 295. Frustrating! Anybody else at this point? Needing a bit of encouragement. I think I posted in the wrong place. ????
