It's a slow process but don't give up and just remember you deserve the new healthier you. I started my process in May and my insurance didn't require a 6 month diet. My process has moved right along. If the doctor insurance specialist hadn't took vacation I would already had surgery. I had appointment for tomorrow to set up surgery and guess what doctor has robotic training ( he teaches the class) so I am going new Wednesday. I am so tired and the limbo. If I knew I had 6 months fine I could deal with it. But the changing plans is a killer. Oh well it will happen in Gods timing. I really feel that this is in Gods plans for me. He gave us our body as a temple and I have let him down and he is given me this tool to help me. So gotta keep faith.

August 2015 Surgery Date!
Monnie815 replied to KarenLoh's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I will beat this!!!!! My journey has hit several bumps... 1st my general doctor office took 3 weeks to get my records to surgical team so we could file for insurance 2nd surgican took vacation ( which I am sure he needed) 3rd insurance specialist took vacation 4th now surgcian has robotic class on 29 th the day I was to meet him to schedule surgery... So August 5th before I see him. So maybe I will have surgery by the end of August IN GODS TIME NOT MINE!!!!!!!! -
Doubts are normal. My mom was a diabetic before her RY bypass she was on 6 shots per day & many other meds. She hasn't had a shot since day before surgery. That was 3 yrs plus ago. My doctor said he didn't believe in NEVER foods. That you would have to learn moderate & seldom foods. You got to decide if you want to miss out on life cause your weight & health or miss a few foods. And that is easier said than done. I don't want to sound like a hard butt. But that is how it is. Hang in there...yes there are risk but sounds like you gotta decide which is worse your health risks now or a rare risk in surgery?????

2 week liquid protein diet and July 30th VSG buddy!
Monnie815 replied to jaimiec's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I go to doctor on 29 th to set up surgery and the pre-diet scares me cause most everything is sweet. I have saved some juice off of peas (froze it) and going to put unflavored Protein so I have an something not sweet. My diet will be liquid for 10 day and clear last 3. So if your doctor lets you have salad & low carb meal feel lucky ????☕️????☕️???? I hope I am having surgery by August 13--17 -

We have a caseworker and she is so helpful & the insurance specialist is awesome...she will give you step by step instructions. I had already made a chart of the diets I had done over last 5 years she said that helps her fight with insurance. -
Xxrayyoung. Glad you done good. Don't over do it...I can't wait...I go on 29th to set up surgery.
