Hi everyone, I was banded March 27th too! I got sick of protein shakes real quick. I am not supposed to have mushies until day 21 which is in 6 days. I have started early to satisfy my hunger. It has been 11 days and I am down 13 lbs. I have bounced back very quickly and am doing great with the very well blended foods. Good luck everyone! Dawna

Hi Zetagal, I know what you mean about being nervous/excited. I started to bite my nails and I haven't done that in 10 years. That was a habit I could break unlike this weight issue of mine. Seems I have alot of stress and tension too. I wonder if this is the norm for pre banded folks?

We have talked on the phone about Huacuz and I asked if he had any complications and you told me no. Then I went on to talk about Adrien (didn't know hwer name at the time) and then you had told me your side of the story and being there. I do think you have good intentions for people loosing weight. You were not making any money off of me, and you did take the time to answer alot of my questions so thank you for that.I think you are in it to help people as well as make some cash on the side. If anyone asks if Huacuz has had any complications just say yes. Cause it's the truth. Huacuz does have a shady past he does not have a good reputaion in alot of cases. There are people that swear by him and there are people that have almost died. Please make that known to all that inquire about him. Let them make thier decision on facts. I once knew a patient coordinator who was representing a doctor that had done her surgery. She said he was wonderful, and that she has sent alot of people she had known to him. Then a certain situation come up where a patient had a complication and I remember her calling me on the phone and telling me the story and how she was shocked at how he handled it. She said she could no longer represent this Doctor becuse of how he handled the situation, but she wanted me to know what had happened. I am hopeful that if you ever were to have any doubts about Huacuz's abilities that you would put the safety of the patients first and foremost. Even if he has done a wonderful job with you.

I was going to go to Huacuz but after a seminar he had in Florida and some research I decided against it. I can actually say now that it is Feb..." I am getting my surgery next month!) It is exciting. Dawna:thumbup:

After the issues with Adrienne Dr. Huacuz did a seminar in Florida. He was talking to someone there and claimed he had no complications whatsoever. None. What about Adrienne? What about all the infections? What about his own (previous) coordinators erosion? What about the misplaced bands? He lied to this gal. I'll PM her and see if she will come over and tell you for herself what he told people at the seminar in FL. Hello everyone. I am the one that attended the siminar in Florida. I first want to say congradulations to all those that have had good weight loss results and are feeling and looking better because of the band. I am very excited about getting my band NEXT MONTH! I have been looking into getting a band for about 2 years. I have looked at several different Doctors and finally have made my decision after doing MY OWN RESEARCH. I asked Huacuz at the seminar if he had any complications or infections from ANY surgery that he has done and He looked me in the face and said NO. After the seminar I continued with my research and was asking questions that led me to Adrien's story. I decided not to go to Huacuz any more because I think if he has had complications people have the right to know. I derserve the truth from the person that will be cutting my belly open. I have to trust this person with my life. We deserve the truth. Before making my decision with the Doctor that will be doing my surgery I asked one of his assistants "Has Dr so in so had any complications or deaths or infections??" I was told the truth! I knew it was the truth because I knew the answer before I asked the question. Therefore I beleive the Doctor that I chose has nothing to hide. There is a wealth of information out there about Mexican lapband Doctors. If your at a loss of were to look or even know what your looking for Wasabubblebutt has a great link on how to reasearch a mexican doctor. I am so Happy for you!!!! It has been 2 years of research for me but I have decided on Doctor Huacuz in Mexico March 28th!!!! Glad to see we March Bandsters are on the board. Good luck.
