I'm 11 days out and I just couldn't take anymore. I'm not supposed to have pureeds until tuesday but I let myself get too hungry and I went and got a pintos and cheese from taco bell, i added sour cream and hot sauce to it and I inhaled the whole thing. Just shoved it down. In my head it feels like nothing but in my gut it hurts, it was definitely too much, I couldn't throw it up and now I don't know what to do. Did I cause a leak? Or just make myself sick? I'm worried that I permanantly messed something up so now I feel sick AND guilty. I know I got some pysch work to do. Any thoughts?

Thank you. I certainly knew it was a bad idea. I feel sick but not too bad. I was really worried about causing problems and my husband is most definitely not pleased with me. It's almost like confessing a sin to post it on here!

I am in massive regret mode myself right now. I just am not ready to let go of the lifestyle and living my life like this is just making me miserable. Some days I feel better but not today.

Oh man, I just tried the Isopure Clear Protein drinks and was so disappointed. I could absolutely taste the protein, it made me want to gag. Oh well, there are other things I can do!

I am feeling the exact same way right now! I have 2 days of clear liquids, low carb, no caffeine....ugh. Th headache and the stomach cramps, I'm so hungry! I wonder how many people can't get through this part and give up. Surgery is tomorrow! ARGHHHHH

Totally late to this, I know, but the post op pain can last anywhere from 2-4 weeks....my doctor made me repeat it twice lol

I also switched surgeons pre-op. I went with the most advertised, hospital supported doctor at the hospital I work at, before asking around. Once I decided I am for sure doing this, I started asking- and I went to the wrong doctor. It means a lot to me how a doctor treats the nurses and staff, and how the staff perceive the doctor. I went to the doc that was recommended to me, and I love him. Unfortunately, I don't know how one does research without the "inside" knowledge that I was privy to. I am going with Dr. Metz as opposed to Dr. Long, feel free to ask questions of me if you happen to be doing research on those 2.

ooh good idea thanks. I bought a few of the boxed soups...I forget the brand....that are organic and have less sugar than the canned ones. But I haven't actually tried them yet -
just my nurse-y opinion, it could definitely be gas it could also be the position they had you lying in during surgery, may have pressed up on a nerve and now you have some residual pain. I agree that it probably isn't serious, good luck!

Thanks so much, I just binge read your blog haha

I'm super interested in reading about how people deal with the surgery and aftermath, I was wondering if anyone knows of any good bariatric blogs or has any of their own? I have been having trouble finding many that are kept updated, I started my own but who knows how long that will last!

Thanks everyone!

Keep us posted! I love reading the thoughts of people still in the hospital. -
Very curious about this myself. I am currently a 46C and hope to keep the C but go down to a 36...still feels like make believe!
