    filled too tight?

I too am way too tight in the am and mid afternoon it seems as if i can only eat like around 5pm and after i am still choosing items like carb concious lean cuisine and such but i know i am not getting in enough calories i spoke with dr romero and he says to have some hot tea in the am to loosen the band but regardless i could not get down a protein shake in the am if my life depended on it:confused:
  5. I think I might br too tight it seems like I can only eat like 4 or 5 small chewwed bites and I feel like I want to pb, I have a 2cc fill done in december and I can not eat unril almost 4 or 5pm although I do try a few slices of grilled chicken during the day and it just is painful, my doc said to have hot tea in the am to open the band due to hormones etc, any one else feel this, but like at 7pm wich is a bad time of the day to eat I am somewhat open to a small meal, it just varies from day to day and can be so frustrating:angry
  6. dunatl this is yulaunda we were banded at the same day I think, hope your doing well, I just got my first fill dec9 it was painless and I went back for Dr romero to do this he did a great job I didnt even feel anything but the pressure of the fill
  7. also just because we say good things about him doesnt mean we all are getting paid, sometimes it just means we are happy with our outcome, when people post replies of that nature it makes people leary of any comment on this board, it would be nice if we could all just be honest with each other,if you find another doc and you are happy with them and say good things does that mean you are getting paid? of course not,
  8. I know that we all have different expiences but mine was good, I asked ahead of time about the stitches and dissove or not , I was never told they dissolve, I think that sometimes the language barrier maybe gets in the way , because there was several times that I would have to talk to Dr romero with dr haucuz this is not always his fault I mean we are going to his country for surgery we should know about the follow up care ,most of us are not going to go all the way back there to have these removed, like I said I know all of us have different experiences mine was good, so it is hard for me to imagine him lying he is so sweet with a great bedside manner, I plan to go back for a tummy tuck when needed, and have complete faith in him, This board scared me to death when reading it, but you have to come to the conclusion not everyone is perfect although we would like to hope so when dealing with our lives we are all human, Im sure that there have been people who dont like your current doctor but that does not make her any less of a surgeon, even top surgeons in the united states make mistakes,
  9. you will be fine, now dont get scared at the facility initially i reassure you that it is clean just older, i mean the janitor must have mopped 5x per day, almost to the point i was like get out!!! the nurses have a low pt ratio wich was good compared to us nurses in the states, there was only 5 double rooms and 3 nurses and the rooms were not full so in a nurses eyes thats pretty good, oh the doc on 3rd shift speaks good english and is very caring. it is a good idea to have your friend with you i think your expierince will be good, oh something that i did remember is that there is no call bell it is on the wall out of reach but it never seemed a problem for me because i was in room 1 but it could be an issue if your friend isnt there: relax !!! is the only thing i would change, oh if this helps and remember everyone responds to surgery differently the girl that got banded 2 hours before me was walking stairs and all over the next day wich is pretty good it took me a whole more day to get to that point i am doing real good this morning and had a great night sleep last night, let me tell ya gasx, water, chicken broth, and that old faithful lounge chair are great items to have
  10. i just got back from mexico on oct 24, and was banded by dr haucuz, i have complete trust in him , he was great with me, i had to stay an extra day in the hospital from abd pain, i could sit up at a 90 degree angle but could not lay down, it was almost like a stabbing pain!!! dr haucuz gave me moriphine x one dose and i was able to lay down in the bed, he cradled me to the bed , i have never in my life had an american doc do this or seem to care sooo much { in the states he would have written a pain med order in the chart and ordered the nurse to help me and then give him a call later} I read some really neg and scary things about all docs in mexico, no one is perfect, I am only saying that i am glad haucuz did my surgery, and i would also like to mention that while at the hotel on sat he checked on everyone as a group in their rooms about 3x just in case we needed anything. yes he uses a clinic wich is different than what we are all use to but it is clean the instruments are sterile and in packages, he does not re-use the trochanter tool , as many would like to suggest, and I had an inamed band placed, dr haucuz and dr romero are very kind and very patient and so far everything is good for me, i did my homework and i am also an RN so i feel like i would have been more leary than most, the only neg thing is that it would have been great for more english speaking nurses, although they were also good , i should have learned more spanish prior to going was the only downfall
  11. i am sorry you went thru that , that has got me scared , i will be in band land on thur, i am reading everyones stories and only the neg seem to stick out in my head, i am being by dr hacuz in tj, did this happen in tj? i know it could happen any place, its great your doc was so attentive to you
