Good question.... I was wondering the same thing .

My reply was never about tearing you down as a person. My reply was so many have this same type of question as you... Somehow the system is broken and people are not getting the right info to help them understand everything that's important. Things move so fast and as a patient we are very excited about our new life and forget something's. ( me included ) but testing us to make sure we are well informed and given a copy , so we can reflect is a very good thing to have on hand. At this time so much is going on emotional , we do forget. I was in no way putting you down. I feel every person should know that answer to your question before surgery and if they don't it's a disgrace to me. But that's was not your fault. I was just trying to understand how this could happen. Sorry if my post offended you. That was never the intention of my post.

Did they not tell you this info in your nutrition classes. They address all of this before surgery..... This is why the veteran on this form get upset.... If your surgeon office didn't explain all the reason why to you.... It's a disgrace..... But my surgeon office made us take a test after each class to make sure we understood everything... Sorry if this is coming across as a rude reply because it's really not... I'm just very concern why so many people are not aware of the reason not to drink after surgery.... Again I feel it's a disgrace that patience are not aware of the problems from consuming these types of beverages and the risk involved... How about you mental evaluation? My doctor also discuss this matter with me. He made sure I understand and would follow my Dr. Orders. This is why I'm so confuse....... I'm just trying to figure it out... I had to jump through so many hoops before surgery even took places.... Why are some Dr. Not addressing these important facts about this surgery is mind blowing to me... Again please don't take this as a rude reply.. But to answer your question I was told 6 months but if I could wait a year even better. I'm only 3 months out of surgery and remember all the rules and why.... Maybe all Dr should go to testing patients on the info to make sure they understand everything and to cover themselves that a patient was told and understood everything ...

I make handmade jewelry and sell at craft fairs. I do at least one craft fair a month. I make about 800.00 a fair.. Not a bad habit to get into and earn money. Google craft fairs in your area and the cost to attend the fairs are really cheap. I normally only spend about 50.00 a fair. Good luck

I picked up my old hobbies . Find something you enjoy using your hands and finishing your project. I seek many of my projects , which puts more money in my pocket. Don't be hard on yourself.... This is new to all of us and we will mess up from time to time. Good luck!!!!

My nut said 3 weeks after surgery. I use sweet in low and a dash of fair life milk. But I don't drink much coffee.

I take children liquid Tylenol for now. I'm only 3 months out.

I never hit a stall... I'm at three months now.... But I drink two protein shakes a day to get my calories in for the day.

In the early stages I had a hard time getting in my water and protein. There is no way I could've drinker any type of wine or liquor ... I would think it would burn my stomach and hurt but just not that into drinking ... Good luck everyone

Would like to offer a good idea to do with all those use cloths we can't fit into any more and feel good . I donate all my cloths to the women shelters. Most of these women leave behind everything they own. Plus size women don't receive many donation because as plus size women we don't shop much. This is something I'm doing now and it very much in need for these women. Please find the location near you and know women will be grateful. They can use every day cloths to dress cloths for job interviews.

I was sleeved on July 16 th . Only lost 32 lbs so guess I'm a slow loser too... But think of all the weight we have not put on . Wow! Without the surgery I can only wonder. So I'm happy with my slow weight lose. We will all get there sooner or later. I am just glad it's coming off and not putting on the lb..

I was 3 months before eating raw veggie but all Dr are different.

How one week love a food but next week it makes me sick.... I would find something that works great but by the following week it has changed. My taste bud changes all the time. So now buy just enough for a week.

I'm 4 days out and it does get better

My surgery is on July 16th only two days.... I'm scared also of the unknown to me... But I'm also more scared of the unknown problems from my weight.... My weight has hit its highest ever for me... It's just a matter of time before other health issue starts to affect me... So I'm moving forward with my choice I've made... Don't listen to what other would do... That's your body.... I don't even ask anyone for their option.... My body , my life... I want to enjoy it healthy... Good luck to you and YOUR journey ????
