So I am new to this but here we go! I am 23 and extremely over weight. I decided to get wls because I can't get rid of the weight on my own. I have tried every option and nothing I have found has worked. If I keep up the way I am I will be gone before my 40s and that can't happen! My mom is the one who actually planted the idea of wls in my head. She has had the lap band for 9 or so years and has had amazing success. I have gotten a chance to see the good and the ugly of what could happen(and that is not an exaggeration). Because of having the chance to see this I was a bit more scepictical of having the surgery, but I have sat down and spoke to my pcp and the sergon and we all agree that the gastric sleeve is the best option and something that needs to be done. I don't have a date yet I should know that in the next 2 weeks or so. Well that's just a little bit about me and where I'm at, any advice or support would be amazing!
