Everyone tells me I'm tooo young, opinions?
micnic1027 replied to befitnotskinny's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
You should wait......not! We all think we can handle it on our own....then the years and the pounds continue to add up. I was sleeved this past month, however I started this process 9 yrs. ago. Unfortunately due to other serious health issues not related to weight, I had to forgo surgery three months into the process. Fast forward 9 yrs I was 40 pounds heavier and not healthy. If you want kids some day and to be able to keep up with them, do this for you now and your future family. I hope you follow your heart! -

He was supposed to do mine in January, but is having issues getting all the paperwork straightened out with our hospital. I'm sure I will meet him down the road though. Good to know he is highly regarded. -

I like EAS carb control. Target has good offers on them sometimes like buy 4 packs get a gift card and you can use coupons. The premier protein are more expensive but higher protein. Good luck. -
Has anyone tried protein2O water? Reviews on Amazon were mixed.

I saw Amazon has a 12 pk for $24 , not sure I'm ready to dish out yet. Trying to find singles to try.

Trying different brands and flavors of supplements right now. On average what are you spending per month for your regime and have you found most of what is required by your team in a chewable that you can tolerate? Nut gave me some samples of Bariatric fusion, not a big fan. Thanks

Mission brand makes a great low carb tortilla. White or wheat, white is great! I'm pre-op but have followed a low carb diet for some time. Great substitute for bread also.

Looks like hives to me. Sometimes I break out for no reason. Try a cool cloth, heat will make it worse if they are hives. Try benadryl also. Good luck! -
I really like eas carb control. You can find them @ Walmart and there are coupons on coupons.com.

I like EAS carb control in rich dark chocolate. Walmart carries them and I frequently have coupons. I also have them on my subscribe and save with Amazon. Hth

Sounds like similar symptoms when I was diagnosed with asthma. They thought mine was either triggered by acid reflux and/or allergies. Symbacort finally got it under control.I am pre-op .

Hi all, I've been pretty quiet on here so far. Just mostly "creeping" and educating myself. I was hoping for some honest advice. I have talked to my Dr. but still have reservations. I am a low carber and have been on and off for years. Right now its been about 5 months steady. We (hubby & I) do not eat bread, cereal, pasta, flour ,sugar etc, etc. I have even cut back on the high fat cheese. I weaned myself off my diet coke addiction months ago also. I am not losing the weight I have in the past with low carb. I already drink an EAS carb control protein shake for breakfast along with a quest bar everyday. In fact when I had my first Nut appt. I was pleasantly surprised by the things she had on the list that we already use. Greek yogurt, crystal light, protein shakes etc. I'm concerned that I already am not eating "bad stuff" and one would think I should be ahead of the game. However, if its not working now, what chance do I stand after the sleeve? Thank you for listening.

I am going through St. V's Bariatric Center. Hoping for a December Sleeve. Maybe ask them why you need to buy only those, maybe compare ingredients? I hope you can get the OK for something more affordable. -

Glitter pockets, I saw you are from Erie. Where are you going for your wls? My nutritionist showed me some from wegmans and giant eagle's nature's Basket. She never said I had to stick with a specific brand though.
