I've been dry heaving 24/7
-
Had my rny on July 7 2015. I've been so nauseous and constantly dry heaving and vomiting up saliva. I have a constant sweet taste in my mouth that makes drinking reg Water or crystal light water a chore. I don't eat at all I just feel so sick to my stomach. I try to take zofran but the taste of the medicine makes me vomit. My blood work came back bad all my lvls are low so I got some prescriptions today and I'll have my blood drawn again in 1 week. If my blood levels don't go up they will have to admit me to the hospital. Anyone one else on the same boat. This whole week 7 days I manage to eat half a cup yogurt and 1 bite of mashed potatoes for a 7 day period. Can't see my surgeon cause I can't afford the $200 charge. ugh!!!! Had MRI everything looks good no blockage or leaks

You're lucky you have cravings. 5 weeks for me and I go days without eating cause I'm always so nauseous and dry heaving all the time -
I only lost 20 lbs and it's been over a month. Is it normal to have a rny and lose this little weight?

My taste has changed. My saliva seems to taste sweet or metal like. Makes drinking water hard, I gag cause it just tastes weird. I do crystal light but it is to strong. I have 0 appetite. In 5 days I've eaten 5 saltine crackers and 2 teaspoon of mash potatoes. I just feel like vomiting 24/7. I take zofran but the sweetness makes me vomit. Has anyone had this problem? ?!?!?!?!?! My surgery was July 7th. I feel weak and dizzy. Also I cannot keep protein shakes down I gag at the sweetness and non flavor doesn't work due cause I can't eat being nauseated 24/7. I just don't want to eat cause I'm scared of vomiting I hate vomiting lol

Is not wanting to eat at all normal
Phosphate posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just had gallbladder removed and gastric bypass on July 7th. I'm so sick I can barely drink water. I haven't eating since July 6th. The Smell Of Food makes me want to Vomit! ! -
He's awesome even if he is an OU fan.... I accidentally wore my UT shirt to an appointment and I thought he was not going to see me. LOL Dr Henke

I had my surgery on the 7th. Have the same problems. I'm starving it feels like no matter how much Jello or broth i drink. Did it go away. Do you get full now that you're eating solid foods? How much solid food does it take for you to feel full?
-
You eating puree food?? I had mine July 7th. I'm on Jello and chicken broth and I never get full. I'm starving:(

I had gastric bypass on July 7. I drank a protien shake on July 6th. It's July 10. I feel so nauseated I can't even eat nor think about eating. I managed to get 1 1/2 sugar free pre made jello cups down. 4 days and only ate 1 1/2 cups. Is this normal. I tried to drink a water down protein shake but it made me vomit. Will I get be able to get my appetite back?

My surgery is today July 7th. I have to arrive at 530am ugh! Getting bypass and gallbladder removed. I'm so nervous I feel like vomiting and cannot sleep. I'm so tempted to call and cancel. I would if I wasn't cash pay. Ugh!!! My mom is yelling at me that I'm making a huge mistake that doesn't help me with no support. No one in my family is supportive. I'm just "lazy and need to exercise". I think it's mainly the $20,000 price tag as well. They claim it's a waste of money. =(

Being discharged in a little bit. Everything went smoothly. Just some gas pain that's about it. -
Having bypass surgery in 6 more hours. I'm so nervous and kinda feel like I want to back out. I have no support from family so I'm doing this ALL by myself. So scared

My doctor (primary) says she sees alot of regain weight over the years more so with sleeve. That's the reason I chose bypass. That plus dumping syndrome I want to use it as a tool for my horrible sweet tooth.
