    There's no weight gain with the Mirena and it is a IUD. My surgeon recommend it to me.

    Weighed in Sunday lost 6 lbs.....down 34 lbs Feels like I'm loosing so slow and everyone else drop fast but I'm still happy with my progress!!!

      34 pounds is a LOT of weight. Try not to do a compare and contrast to others. We all have different bodies/insides. 34 pounds is great progress. Stay motivated and keep up the good work! Thanks for sharing with us.

    I have the Mirena it's for 5 years. You can take it out whenever you decide to have a baby but it works well haven't had any issues. Look into it.

    Hi everyone, I'm one month and one week post op. I just went back to work Monday now all of a sudden my legs are starting to be swollen. Did any experience that?

      I actually do a lot of walking at work that's the weird part. I use to swell before the surgery when I set for a long time and when I would drink alcohol.

      My Nurse Prac, told me if you aren't getting enough protein, your legs can get swollen too. That happens to me, as I still have issues getting in all my protein. So I still get some swelling daily.

      Ok thanks, yeah I had call the nurse prac and still waiting for her to call me back but that could be it.
